Abstract:
Apparatus and slide cassette for removably retaining or securing a slide. The cassette includes trays for holding a slide. Each tray has a retaining lip at an end thereof. A first edge of a slide contacts a support member within the cassette when the slide that is placed in a slot. The support member can be an elastomeric member, a spring, a foam member, or an insert with slide retention surfaces. The support member pushes or urges the slide in the opposite direction so that an opposite edge of the slide contacts the retaining lips of the trays. As a result, the slide is removably retained or secured on the trays and between the retaining lips and the support member(s).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an improved structure for quick-assembly cabinet; and comprises a cabinet with a loudspeaker provided thereon. The first side of cabinet is provided with a loudspeaker holder and the second side opposite to the loudspeaker holder is provided with a screw hole. Loudspeaker stand is provided with an expansion plate larger than the foregoing loudspeaker holder; and the back of magnetic loop is provided with a pair of screw holes that allow screw to penetrate from behind the box to fix the loudspeaker. The loudspeaker holder and loudspeaker stand are provided with joints and openings, respectively. Thus the sound box can be assembled faster and no screws are needed on the front side of loudspeaker and, therefore, the production efficiency is significantly improved and the cabinet looks more attractive than conventional cabinets.
Abstract:
A display device for holding DVDs, video cassettes and/or other similar content media, includes a housing having a substantially tubular shape with a lateral opening; a case disposed in the lateral opening and rotatable about an axis with respect to said housing; and a shelf adapted to hold a stack of media articles. The case is rotatable between an open position, in which the content media can be removed from the shelf, and a closed position in which the articles are inaccessible. A lock is also provided to selectively prevent or block movement of the case.
Abstract:
In a cabinet fixing structure, a holder provided in a fixing portion of a rear cabinet is formed with a pair of notches extending along a fitting direction, while a boss provided in a fixing portion of a front cabinet is formed with a pair of rail ribs engaging the notches. The holder is fitted with the boss and the rail ribs are engaged with the notches, so that the holder is fixed to the boss with respect to the rotational direction of the screw, with a tightening torque applied to the boss being distributed over the holder.
Abstract:
A speaker box is covered with a buffer material exclusive of a portion where an acoustic output is derived from a speaker unit. The speaker box covered with the buffer material is attached to the surface of a wall member such as an interior member of a vehicle body or a side plate outside the vehicle body in a manner the speaker box is pressed by a holding member, which is a part of the interior member or designed member, and secured by bolts. Even when the surface of the speaker box is vibrated, the buffer material prevents an acoustic output due to the vibration from being generated so that no unnecessary acoustic signal is generated.
Abstract:
There has been such a problem as gas pressure applied in a mold deforming screw holes for display-supporting bosses. A front section 10 of a cabinet is provided with a main channel 13a which takes a shortcut in front of display-supporting bosses 12 in boss-erected corner portions of a front plate and into which high-pressure gas is injected, subchannels 13c which pass under the display-supporting bosses 12, and choke channels 13b between the main channel 13a and the subchannels 13c to reduce the gas pressure. Therefore, screw holes 12a of the bosses 12 are not deformed by the high pressure of gas flowing through the subchannels 13c. Besides, recesses are made on both sides of a channel-forming zone in the boss-erected corner portions nullCnull of the front plate; therefore, the high-pressure gas is prevented from straying from the channel-forming zone.
Abstract:
A speaker box is comprising a hollow enclosure having opposing open ends, a molded plastic end cap acoustically sealing each of the open ends of the enclosure, and each end cap having at least one lengthwise reinforcement rib formed across a surface thereof to thereby substantially prevent the end cap from flexing under acoustic pressure. Each end cap preferably has a pair of reinforcement ribs formed on an inner surface of the end cap. The reinforcement ribs preferably intersect one another and taper upward toward the center of the end cap. The reinforcement ribs preferably extend substantially perpendicularly from the end cap. The end caps preferably have a recessed portion that recesses toward an inner surface of the end cap. An outer lip of the recessed portion provides additional rigidity to the end cap.
Abstract:
This invention provides a speaker enclosure that minimizes or defuses standing waves and minimizes resonance within the operating frequency range of its transducers. To minimize standing waves, the speaker enclosure has no two surfaces that are parallel to each other thus preventing the propagation of standing waves. The interior surface of the speaker enclosure may have ribs spaced apart on any surface that is prone to resonate so that the surface is strengthened such that it resonates at a predetermined frequency that is typically outside of the operating frequency range of the transducers.
Abstract:
This invention provides a speaker enclosure that is configured to minimize diffractions from occurring. The speaker enclosure includes baffle that is tapered inward both in a vertical axis and a horizontal axis to provide a smooth transition for the wave fronts to propagate from the outer edge of the speaker housing to the atmosphere. Providing a smooth transition for the wave fronts minimizes the occurrence of eddy currents so that diffractions do not interfere with the quality of sound from the driver. To stabilize or control the wave fronts in the vertical axis, the baffle may be elongated in the vertical axis to sustain the wave front in that axis.
Abstract:
A rigging system for flying a vertical stack of loudspeakers includes left and right rigging side frames (15, 17). Each rigging side frame includes a frame structure having a top end (43), a bottom end (45), and rear and front corners (51, 53, 55, 57) which is mountable to the side of a correspondingly sized loudspeaker (13). Each rigging side frame further includes a rear link (59) for pivotally linking the rear corner of a rigging frame of one loudspeaker to the rear corner of the same side rigging frame of another loudspeaker placed in stacked relation therewith, and a cam plate link (61) pivotally attached to a cam pivot point (85) at one of the top or bottom ends of the frame structure in displaced relation to the cam link. Two or more link openings (143) are provided in the cam plate link at different angles about the cam plate link pivot point and at different radial distances from the cam plate pivot point. Each rigging side frame further includes a cam plate attachment structure (95, 105) on the top or bottom end of the rigid frame structure opposite the frame's cam plate link. This cam plate attachment structure receives cam plate links of rigging side frames of adjacent loudspeakers (13a, 13b) in the stack. The cam plate link of one side frame can be deployed about its pivot point to engage in the cam plate attachment structure of an adjacent side frame such that the side frames can be linked together at a desired splay angle by pinning the cam plate link of one frame to the cam plate attachment structure of the adjacent frame using a selected link opening in the cam plate link.
