摘要： According to the present invention, there is provided an apparatus for collecting, disposing, and measuring liquids including a vessel with an inner surface and an absorption mechanism disposed on the inner surface of the vessel for absorbing and collecting liquids within the vessel. The present invention additionally provides for an absorption mechanism disposed on an inner surface of a vessel for preventing the spillage of any liquids, particularly those associated with excretory waste. Finally, the present invention provides for a method of using the apparatus claimed herein to collect, dispose, and measure liquid output from a bedridden individual.

摘要： A mattress includes a head section, a seat section and first and second outer leg support sections. The seat section and the first and second outer leg support sections are configured to define a central opening therebetween. The mattress further comprises a removable center leg support section configured for movement between a first use position located within the central opening to provide a portion of the mattress and a second storage position detached from the mattress and located below the mattress. A drip flap is coupled to the seat section and first and second outer leg support sections of the mattress. The drip flap is configured to extend downwardly below a bottom surface of the mattress adjacent the central opening of the mattress. The mattress further includes a relatively rigid element secured to the drip flap to prevent the drip flap from folding upwardly when the removable center leg support section is moved from the storage position below the mattress to the use position within the central opening.

摘要： A care bedpan and a care bedpan system that are capable of reducing the burden of wasting excrements within the care bedpan, of enabling easy use of the bedpan, and of reducing the burden on both, the care-receiving person as well as the care-giving person are provided. A movable and portable care bedpan provided with a bedpan main body 10 having an opening 31 that is pressed against or disposed to oppose a pubic region of a care-receiving person for receiving excrements, and with a cover 33 provided to extend frontward from an upper portion of the opening 31 of the bedpan main body 10 to thereby comprise an entire opening of the bedpan together with the opening 31 of the bedpan main body 10. In the cover 33 is held by a holding mechanism which angle is adjustable, either in a multi-staged or non-staged manner, so as to adjust the size of the entire opening and to shield one's pubic region to be hardly visible from above. Upon connecting an accessory unit to the bedpan 10, it is possible to arrange a care bedpan system for supplying washing water, cleaning water (warm water) and warm air for drying and for sucking excrements (including waste water etc.) and collecting the same in a waste water tank.

摘要： A bedpan providing ease of use, comfort, and cleanability. The bedpan includes a body member defining a reservoir shaped and dimensioned for receiving bodily waste. The body member includes a closed base section adapted for retaining bodily wasted deposited within the bedpan and an open support section. The support section includes a central opening providing access to the reservoir defined by the body member. The central opening is defined by first and second inwardly inclined walls extending from a first end of the body member toward a second end of the body member. The support section further includes a forward support surface adjacent the first end of the body member. The forward support surface has a forward end adjacent the base member and a rearward end adjacent the first and second inwardly inclined walls, wherein the forward support surface is generally horizontal and tapers downwardly as it extends toward the base section. The forward support surface and first and second inwardly inclined walls being so positioned to lift the pelvic region as the first end of the body member is slid under a patient and separate the buttocks to facilitate bowel movement.

The crushing machine is designed to be used at any health-care or rest-home center and is adequate for dumping the final product into a sewer system in an environmental caring manner.

摘要： A pillow-like protector and body support device having a central section stuffed with polyurethane and covered with soft hypoallergenic material is provided with cut-away air gaps and medial seams that form air grooves or channels. The pillows and supports are made for supporting various body parts, e.g., the neck, shoulder, torso, elbows, and tailbone. Many of the pillows/supports are capable of being used together into an integrated system for alleviating bedsores and other medical problems associated with sitting or lying in the same position for long periods of time. One embodiment of the invention relates to a coccyx protector and is adapted to slip over a bedpan. In addition, embodiments are disclosed related to breast supports. One version is a small pillow/protector with an airflow pocket. Another version is sling-like and includes an air circulation seam for the skin just beneath the pillow. Yet another version of the breast support for protecting both breasts. Several airflow scams are provided transversely across the pillow to provide ambient air access to the breasts. A cut-out enables ventilation of the torso near the base of the sternum. Straps are included to secure the same to the patient with minimum discomfort.
