Abstract: A bobbin thread end holding device in a sewing machine in which an upper thread and a bobbin thread are used holds an end portion of the bobbin thread after cut. The bobbin thread end holding device has a cutter for cutting the upper thread and the bobbin thread, and a bobbin thread control member. The bobbin thread control member includes: a thread control hole into which the upper thread and the bobbin thread are led; and a prolongation extending from the control hole, for outwardly introducing the end portion of the bobbin thread cut by the cutter from the control hole.
