It is proposed that a bearing (425) closely adjacent to any incident grinding dust and/or chips created has, on at least one side of its bearing gap (26), a plurality of sealing disks (38, 40), in particular two of them, disposed side by side.

摘要： An electrically-powered polisher is provided which includes a central housing having a top and a bottom and a front and a back with a rotary pad mounted adjacent to the bottom of the housing. A front handle extends horizontally outwardly from the housing front substantially parallel to the top and bottom of the housing adjacent to and above the housing bottom. A rear handle extends outward from the housing rear and extends vertically between the top and bottom of the housing. A collar is defined at the top of the housing and a male receptacle, including male prongs, is mounted therein. The male receptacle is capable of being electrically connected to a female socket head of an electrical cord supplying power to the waxer. The collar is recessed in the top of the housing with the male prongs of the receptacle extending from the housing into the collar. A cord lock is provided and includes a cord receiving trough formed in the top of the housing adjacent to the collar and an overhung tab for retaining a portion of an electrical cord in the trough.

摘要： A random orbital sander including a housing, a motor having a vertical axis in the housing, a pad coupled to the motor, a face on the pad extending substantially perpendicularly to the vertical axis, a shroud surrounding the pad, an opening in the shroud, and a dust discharge tube having an inner end in communication with the opening and an outer end on the dust discharge tube end extending at an acute angle to the face of the pad. The sander has a height of between 83 and 86 millimeters and can weigh between 0.68 and 0.75 kilograms. The outer end of the dust discharge tube can extend between about 120 and 157 millimeters from the vertical centerline. A compressed air valve including a first cylindrical wall, a first bore in the first wall, a valve having a base with a second cylindrical wall in engagement with the first cylindrical wall, a second bore in the cylindrical wall, and an inclined surface in the second wall in communication with the second bore. A bore in the motor shaft conducts compressed air which is supplied to the motor through the chamber housing the bearings which support the spindle which mounts the pad.
