摘要： A kinetic breaching assist tool includes a ram slidably positioned within a ram housing to be extendable forwardly out of the housing for breaching doors and other barriers. The ram housing is connected to an intermediate propulsion section that generates high pressure gas to drive the ram forwardly. The rear end of the propulsion section is connected to a firing mechanism assembly, which is actuated by an elongated trigger positioned within the confines of a manually graspable rear handle assembly. A forward handle assembly is mounted at the forward portion of the propulsion section to enable to tool to be conveniently and securely grasped by both hands.

摘要： An improved cartridge 24 is disclosed for use in an explosively operated industrial tool 10. The cartridge 24 includes a retaining plate 60 for assuring that, after firing the cartridge 24, the spent primer 32 cannot be inadvertently ejected into the interior of the tool 10, where it can subsequently adversely affect the performance of the tool 10. The retaining plate 60 is washer shaped having an upwardly turned beveled peripheral edge 64 that interferingly engages portions of a gas check member 36 that holds the primer 32. The retaining plate 60 has a hole 61 that allows access to the detonator cap 68 for firing yet will not permit passage therethrough of the detonator cap 68 itself.

摘要： An explosive powder operated setting device uses the propellant gases from an ignited explosive powder charge for driving a piston which, in turn, propels a fastening element from the device into a receiving material. The device includes a housing, a barrel mounted in the housing with the piston displaceably mounted in the barrel. A tubular-shaped slide valve is rotatably mounted in the rear portion of the barrel behind the piston. The front end of the slide valve combines with the barrel in forming a space in which the propellant gases contact the piston and drive it through the barrel. The rear end of the slide valve forms a part of the combustion chamber within the device. At its front end, the slide valve is frusto-conically shaped and forms a seal with a correspondingly shaped surface in the barrel. An exhaust duct section extends through the barrel and is in communication with another exhaust duct section in the housing. The slide valve has exhaust openings extending radially through it which can be aligned with the exhaust duct section in the barrel so that, if required, a part of the propellant gases can be exhausted to the atmosphere without being used for driving the piston.

摘要： A breaching tool is powered by a blank cartridge in a breaching gun and includes a barrel, a propulsion assembly in the barrel, and a spring assembly around the barrel. When the cartridge is discharged in a chamber in fluid communication with the barrel's bore, pressure produced by the discharged cartridge propels the propulsion assembly forward from a ready position to an extended position, forcing a ramming head forward. The spring assembly has a compression spring in a spring can that biases the assemblies and ramming head back to the ready position. The breaching tool also includes a handguard that extends over and past the barrel's proximal half and surrounds a rear portion of the spring can. When used with a semiautomatic breaching gun, the breaching tool includes gas block over a gas port in the barrel, and a gas tube extends back to the breaching gun's bolt carrier group.

摘要： A battering ram device is provided for allowing quick forcible entry through locked closures. The device includes a ram that slides within and partially out of a housing. The ram is connected to a piston which also slides within a cylindrical housing. The housing is connected to a firing mechanism that uses an explosive cartridge for driving the piston forwardly and subsequently forcing the ram partially out of its housing to deliver a blow to a closure. The piston and cylinder further include an energy absorbing mechanism for retarding the motion of the ram once it penetrates through a closure. The ram can be configured as a thin rectangular piece for allowing the ram to fit between a door knob and jamb of most doors. Other ram configurations include a punch for effectively knocking out a door lock of a steel or metal door, and a shearing head for effectively cutting a steel cable, bar, or wire.

摘要： This improved powder-actuated fastener driving tool includes a fastener-driving piston which is slidably housed in a reciprocating barrel. The barrel is contained in a housing member. The tool includes a movable firing pin slidably disposed in a movable breech member. A firing pin pawl is retained in a slot in the breech member to hold the firing pin in a cocked position. The firing pin is held in place in the breech member by a removable C ring disposed in a groove in the firing pin spring guide. Auxiliary gas-venting passages are disposed in the housing tool barrel adjacent a piston pawl return slot formed in the barrel. The tool includes a tapered muzzle bushing which reduces the possibility of air-firing the tool. The inner or breech end of the muzzle bushing is spaced from the muzzle end of the barrel to minimize the possibility of deformation of the muzzle bushing due to piston overdrive. The piston return pawl is biased into a tapered counter bore in the piston pawl return slot so as to hold the barrel against accidental movement to its breech-open position.

摘要： A ballistic battering ram device that uses gun powder to produce a striking force. The ballistic battering ram includes a hollow casing, a bolt piston housing housed within the hollow casing, a bolt housed within the bolt piston housing and configured to slide back and forth, and a firing pin attached to the bolt and configured to strike the primer on the explosive casing. When the user strikes the door with the ballistic battering ram a front plate makes contact with the door pushing the bolt piston housing towards a chamber piston. Simultaneously, a retention pin timing spring pushes against a retention pin withdrawing the retention pin from inside the hollow casing. This action may allow the chamber piston to move backwards after firing which may be important for recoil management.

摘要： An apparatus for impacting on a hard surface such as concrete so as to break up the hard surface. This apparatus comprises a frame having a bed and an upstanding rail assembly projecting from the bed, a drive shoe, a hammer means attached to the rail assembly so as to be movable in only one direction and operatively connected to the drive shoe for impacting upon the drive shoe. The drive shoe lies adjacent the surface so that upon impact from the hammer means, the shoe forcefully impacts the surface so as to break up the surface. An adjustment means is used to selectively position the drive shoe relative to the hammer means.

摘要： A drum-shaped loading magazine for cartridges, tablets and the like is disclosed. The loading magazine includes a plurality of parallel channels and a device for completely emptying the magazine by means of successive advancing of the channel openings toward a loading position, in which position a load is ejected as long as one of the channels still contains a further load. The openings of the channels are at least partially closed by means of a stop member in the magazine, whereby at least one part of the stop member for a channel can be opened and closed during the rest position.
