摘要： A component, such as an ink cartridge, is provided with magnetic members. A corresponding component in the printer system, such as a carriage, is also provided with magnetic members so that magnetic attraction between the two components provides or enhances the connecting force between those components. The magnetic members on one component (such as the ink cartridge) are arranged in a particular pattern that indicates a print characteristic of the cartridge. The print characteristic may relate to the color of the ink in the cartridge that is used. A corresponding pattern is provided in the carriage. The pattern is such that magnetic force will attract the cartridge when positioned in the correct mating location in the carriage. This magnetic attraction is provided as tactile feedback to the user in the course of seating the cartridge in the correct location. The mating locations of the carriage are provided with various patterns of magnetic member arranged to provide a magnetic repulsion when one attempts to place a cartridge into the incorrect location on the carriage.

摘要： In a copier, a specific pattern being hardly recognizable by human eyes but recognizable by a recognizing means is added onto a color image to be printed on a recording medium in order to clearly indicate that the printed image is a copy image. RGB-color image data is converted by a post processing portion of an image processing unit into YMCK color image data. An additional color forming unit calculates color data YaMaCaKa of a specific pattern received from a specific pattern generating unit based on the RGB-color image data. A combining unit generates output Y′M′C′K′-color image data including the specific pattern color image data by combining YMCK color data with the specific pattern data of YaMaCaKa. An image output unit adds the specific pattern on the color image according to the Y′M′C′K′ color image data.

摘要： A mounting slider bracket for a card printer thermal printhead is supported between a spring and the printhead, and can be adjusted laterally relative to the printhead to shift the center of force that loads the printhead against the ribbon and a card that is being printed. The ability to change the location of the application of force on the printhead permits centering the force when a card of different width is fed from a supply through the printhead. Uniform printing will occur on cards regardless of the width, when properly adjusted by the operator.

摘要： The invention relates to a device for stamping distinguishing marks on the parts moving in the feed direction of a transport device, e.g. a roll line, comprising at least one mark-holder for holding a mark, the mark-holder being removably placed on the circumference of a stamping wheel. The inventive device comprises at least one hopper for the mark-holders. The hopper for the mark-holders and the stamping wheel can be placed relatively to one another, in a position where the mark-holders of the stamping wheel can pass through cavities of the mark-holder hopper, and the mark-holders of the mark-holder hopper can pass directly through cavities of the stamping wheel. A revolver hopper comprising mark-holder pins which can move axially with it is rotatably mounted and has the same axis as the stamping wheel. The stamping wheel is provided with at least one outward push channel which extends radially towards the circumference of the stamping wheel, as well as with a linear driving mechanism which is rotationally fixed on the stamping wheel, to allow radial displacement of a mark-holder pin located in an angular position of the outward push channel, between an inner rest position and an outer stamping position.
