摘要： A check locator for a peg-board type bookkeeping system which includes a baseboard, a row of upstanding pegs adjacent but spaced from and parallel to one edge of the baseboard, and a horizontally lined, vertically columnized journal sheet on the baseboard, such sheet having a row of perforations through which the row of pegs projects in sheet-positioning relation; the check locator comprising a slide embracing and manually movable along such edge of the baseboard, and a check-positioning member mounted in connection with the slide and overhanging the journal sheet so that--by slide motion--a check can be disposed in a selected position with a line thereof registering with a predetermined line of the journal sheet; the check being carbonized on the back whereby data written on said line of the check is carbon-copied onto such line of the journal sheet.

摘要： A clipboard is disclosed for use in holding a plurality of sheets having means along one edge thereof for positioning the sheets on the clipboard. The clipboard includes a base for supporting and positioning the sheets and a clamping member at one edge of the base for holding the sheets on the base. Pivot control mechanisms at the edge of the base are provided to attach the clamping member to the base and to control the pivotal and horizontal movement of the clamping member with respect to the base. Biasing members are provided adjacent the clamping member which urged the clamping member to alternatively pivot toward the base or move horizontally with respect to the base. In addition, a separate ejector mechanism is located underneath the clamping member for ejecting sheets positioned on the base and for further spacing sheets on the base vertically so that an additional sheet can be inserted thereinbetween.

摘要： A folding poster board on which accounting forms are mounted, including a clamping means for clamping the forms to the board and a stripper plate for stripping forms from the board. A separate operating plate is provided for operating the stripper plate. The clamping member is mounted for rotation about a first axis, and the stripping plate and operating plate are mounted for rotation about a second axis parallel to and spaced from the first axis. Toggle spring means holds the clamping member resiliently in its open and closed positions. The operating plate for the stripper plate is resiliently biased away from the latter towards a relative position where further movement of the operating member will operate the stripper member. The board comprises first and second board members hinged together. When the second board member is folded over to cover the first board member, the clamping member, when moved to closed position, will engage the second board member and thereby prevent the poster board from inadvertently coming open.

摘要： In a manifolding or copying apparatus of the kind used in wages systems and like invoicing systems, a first carrier and a second carrier for locating first and second data sheets on which duplicate entries have to be made are interconnected by a mechanism including a parallel linkage connected to the first carrier, a spring-biassed cam engageable by the parallel linkage, a reciprocating mechanism connected to the cam, and a ratchet mechanism actuated by the reciprocating mechanism and connected to the second carrier for advancing the latter stepwise in accordance with return movement of the first carrier to an initial position. Each carrier is constrained to move along a predetermined path and has a plurality of discrete operative positions. The apparatus may include a third carrier for the location of a third data sheet in registering relation with the first and second sheets.

摘要： A looseleaf binder assembly consisting of a backbone member and a second member that has fastened thereon a plurality of resilient rounded fingers in a position that will accept a plurality of loose sheets is disclosed. The second member contains an inwardly facing continuous flange on the body of the second member and inwardly facing tangs on the end of each resilient finger. These tangs and continuous flange slide into the grooves of the backbone member until each member is substantially aligned. The two members lock in position, when in alignment, by two of the resilient fingers snapping into notches in the grooves of the backbone member. In order to remove the looseleaf sheets, the two resilient fingers are deflected outwardly to allow the two tangs to clear the two notches where the continuous flange of the second member and the remaining tangs on the resilient fingers can slide out of the grooves in the backbone member.

摘要： Apparatus for use in making entries on a plurality of superimposed sheets with duplication media therebetween and includes a writing board and a smaller movable carriage plate mounted in a guideway of the board, guideway having stops therein to prevent dislodgement of the plate from the board. Indexing projections are attached to the plate for selectively fixing the position of the plate which cooperate with indentations of the guideway. A pair of pins extend upwardly from the board for releasably connecting a record sheet thereto with such sheets at least partially overlying the plate and board. A shield is disposed in at least partially overlying relation to the plate and a record sheet is positionable between the shield and plate. The shield has an elongated horizontal opening for transferring information from pertinent data areas on an entry sheet or check to the record sheet. Entry sheet-positioning and retaining device including a pair of spaced pins and a spring loaded pressure foot is disposed on the plate for selectively connecting the entry sheet to the plate. An anvil extends upwardly from the plate within the shield opening whereby the transfer sheet will be substantially in the plane of the upper surface of the shield.
