摘要： An overload protection in a drive unit for a steady or jack for a caravan comprises an electro-mechanical control system. A spindle is driven by a motor through a gearbox, wherein the motor is controlled through a power supply. A control device in the system comprises a movable part slidably seated on an output shaft of the gearbox, where the movable part is connected with the spindle. Movement between the shaft and the sliding part is counteracted by springs. The slidable part is provided with actuating points that may contact switches by axial movements. When a nut on the spindle reaches an end position, a reactive force in the spindle will cause the part to move against the force of springs, eventually actuating a switch and thereby causing interruption of the circuit, thereby protecting motor and engagement between nut and spindle from electric and mechanical overload.

摘要： A trailer adapted to be coupled to a tow vehicle and including a frame including a draw bar tube defining a longitudinal axis. The trailer includes a drawbar support pivotally coupled to the draw bar tube and rotatable relative to the drawbar tube about an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis. The drawbar support is biased toward a substantially horizontal orientation. A sliding member is receivable in the drawbar tube and is configured for movement along the longitudinal axis in response to movement of the tow vehicle. A latch member is connected to the sliding member. The latch member is configured to move in response to movement of the sliding member from a first position wherein the drawbar support is retained in a substantially vertical orientation to a second position wherein the draw bar support is free to rotate toward the substantially horizontal orientation.

摘要： A lever actuated jack may be mounted to a trailer. An inner jack tube slidably engages the outer jack tube. A lever is attached to the upper end of the inner jack tube, or to an inner support bracket that communicates with an upper portion of the inner jack tube. The lever is pivoted, applying a downward force to the inner jack tube, which pushes the tongue of the trailer up to elevate the tongue of the trailer as required. The lever is sufficiently long to provide adequate mechanical advantage to force the tongue of a loaded trailer upwardly the required distance. The lever may be pivoted in the opposite direction to lower the tongue of the trailer by pulling the inner jack tube within the outer jack tube.

摘要： An improved jack assembly for use with a trailer tongue of a towed vehicle. The jack assembly including telescoping height adjustment of the assembly, a pivot assembly for pivoting between a vertical and horizontal stowed position, and a clip for maintaining a handle assembly in a stowed position when not in use. The jack assembly also includes the use of bushings for the telescoping tubes to enhance the sliding movement between the tubes and aid in maintaining the axial alignment of the tubes thereby extending the life of the jack assembly. The pivot assembly further includes an attachment bracket that may be rotated to accommodate at least two different sizes of trailer tongues.

摘要： A jack support for rotatably supporting a jack between the support position and a stored position. The jack support has two brackets with one bracket welded to an outer housing of the jack and a second bracket mounted onto the tongue portion of a trailer. The second bracket attached to the trailer has two lugs that extend therefrom. The first bracket welded to the jack has a slot and a notch therethrough which interconnect with the two lugs. The first bracket can pivot between a support position and a stored position. A spring biased pin is mounted to the first bracket and can be received within one of two holes in the second bracket to fix the support in either the stored or support position.
