    摘要: A pole light and base system that includes a pole light base configured to be secured to a gunwale of a watercraft. In practice, the pole light base might include a pole light tube and a female Universal Serial Bus connector. The pole light tube may have electrical contacts configured to engage respective electrical contacting portions of an all around light pole if an all around light pole is inserted into the pole light tube. In some cases, the system might include the all around light pole and light. The electrical contacts of the tube might include a positive contact electrically coupled to a first wire and a negative contact electrically coupled to a second wire. The first and second wire may be designed to connect directly to a 12 Volt watercraft battery. They may also connect to a boat fuse box that is connected to a battery. Similarly, the female USB connector can be electrically connected to a printed circuit board that includes transforming components capable of transforming 12 Volt power from a watercraft battery into a lower voltage, such as 5 volt, that is made available via the female USB-A connector.

    摘要: The present invention relates generally to lighting systems employed in outboard motors used as marine propulsion systems, and to marine vessel assemblies employing outboard motors with such lighting systems, and related methods of operation and implementation. In one example embodiment of a lighting system, the lighting system includes a first cowling panel portion including a reflective strip portion, and a second cowling panel portion that, in combination with the first cowling panel portion, at least partly defines an interior region within the cowling. The lighting system also includes a lighting source that is positioned within the interior region and positioned so that, when operating, first light is emitted toward the reflective strip portion and, upon the first light reaching the reflective strip portion, at least some of the first light is directed outward away from the cowling.

    摘要: A vessel control system for a marine vessel propelled by at least one propulsion device includes a wireless lanyard system including at least one fob worn by an individual on the marine vessel and a helm transceiver at a helm area of the marine vessel configured to receive radio signals from the at least one fob. A controller is configured to detect, based on communications between each of the at least one fob and the helm transceiver, that each of the at least one fob is present on the marine vessel. A missing fob is detected if at least one of the fobs is no longer detected at the helm transceiver, and then a man overboard event is generated. The vessel control system is configured to automatically activate one or more search assistance functions based on the man overboard event.
