    摘要: A filament winding apparatus prevents a fiber bundle supplied to a liner from interfering with other fiber bundles and fiber supplying guides. First and second guide units include a plurality of fiber supplying guides arranged radially and extending and contracting in a direction approximately perpendicular to a liner central axis. When a fiber bundle supplied from a first supplying guide of the first guide unit crosses between a second supplying guide of the second guide unit and the liner, the distance from the second supplying guide to the liner central axis is made larger than the distance from the first supplying guide to the liner central axis, and in the reverse case, the distance from the first supplying guide to the liner central axis is made larger than the distance from the second supplying guide to the liner central axis.

    摘要: A filament winding apparatus that prevents excessive unraveling of a fiber bundle due to variations in the speed at which the fiber bundle is wound includes a hoop winding device having a wrapping table, a bobbin support unit, a braking unit, a slack removal unit, a detector, and a controller. The slack removal unit absorbs slack caused by the difference between winding and unraveling speeds of the fiber bundle. The detector detects whether the amount of slack absorbed is equal to or greater than or is less than, a predetermined amount. When the amount of slack is equal to or greater than the predetermined amount, the controller increases the braking force of the braking unit for braking rotation of a bobbin. When the amount of slack is less than the predetermined amount, the controller reduces the braking force of the braking unit for braking rotation of the bobbin.

    摘要: A process and apparatus for controlling the deposition of roving by winding or by contact on large structures, in which deposition is carried out on a mandrel (1) driven in rotation about its axis (.theta.). A deposition head (6) is adjustable in position along at least a first rectilinear axis (X) of movement parallel to the axis of rotation (.theta.) of the mandrel. The head (6) is also movable along a second axis of rectangular displacement (Y) orthogonal to the axis of the mandrel. The axis of rotation (.theta.) of the mandrel is taken as a master axis and the other axes (X, Y, .beta., .gamma., 8, 9) are made subservient to the master axis. The master axis (.theta.) is controlled by speed orders according to a pre-established program and from a pre-established trajectory table (21). The slave axes are made subservient as a function of the angular position of the master axis, from the instantaneous angular position of the master axis (.theta.), by computing from the trajectory table (21), for each instantaneous position, the corresponding order values for each slave axis and by applying these orders to these slave axes.

    摘要: A method including the steps of providing a balloon and inflating the balloon from a pressurized source. Subsequently the balloon is formed with a knot adjacent its nozzle. The balloon is then subject to a step of completely encasing the balloon with a fibrous yarn. The yarn is then coated with a liquid glue adhesive and dried to provide a rigid housing. The balloon is then punctured and removed from within the housing. The housing is of a generally elliptical cross-sectional configuration defined by a major and minor axis wherein a first cut is directed along a major axis of the housing and a second cut is directed orthogonally relative to the first cut about a minor axis of the elliptical cross-sectional housing to define first and second edges and to define a quadrant of the housing that is removed and discarded. The remaining housing is defined by an interior cavity and the cavity is lined with a suitable lining and lace is directed about the first and second edges defined by the first and second cuts wherein the thusly lined cavity is available for reception of various baby shower cards and the like in simulating a baby carriage for association with a baby shower commemorating a birth event.

    摘要: A dispenser of continuous resin wetted filaments has a container of a size suitable for hand holding, the container holding a supply of resin. A drum or reel of dry filament is positioned either inside or outside the container. The filament passes over filament guides in the container and through an outlet nozzle. The wetted filament is dispensed by attaching it to a former and then pulling the device away from the former. The device may include a filament tensioner so that the operator can vary the tension of the dispensed filament.

    摘要: A fiber reinforced plastic pipe tee is wound around a mandrel according to this method and apparatus. Fiber rovings are delivered to the mandrel by way of a delivery ring translated in an X-Y plane. The mandrel can be rotated around an A axis parallel to the X direction or a B axis parallel to the Y direction. By switching between either rotation around the A axis or around the B axis, a three axis numerical control system can be employed. Means are provided for alternately rotating the mandrel around the A and B axes. Means are provided for independently translating the delivery ring in the X and Y directions as the mandrel rotates. The delivery ring comprises a curved bar around which a band of resin impregnated rovings makes a turn enroute to the mandrel for maintaining a reasonably constant width of the band of rovings.

    摘要: This winding machine includes a frame rotatably driven to wind filament onto a mandrel carried on the frame. To distribute the windings, the frame has an oscillated cradle pivoted thereon to support the mandrel. The cradle is oscillated by an indexing means which includes a shaft with a helically arranged row of pins projecting at right angles from the shaft. The shaft projects through a rotated indexing plate having one or more apertures which are aligned with succeeding pins to allow stepwise longitudinal movement of the shaft which is connected by linkage to the cradle to oscillate same and the mandrel carried thereby. The shaft is urged to move in either direction by an air motor controlled by limit switches actuated by the mandrel to reverse the direction of movement of the shaft.
