    摘要: A digger derrick truck for installing poles into the ground. The digger derrick truck includes a boom on which a pole guide assembly is slidably mounted. The pole guide assembly is operatively associated with a latching mechanism which releasably couples the pole guide assembly and the boom in an operative position and an inoperative position. The latching mechanism includes a latch arm and a release mechanism such that, when the boom is retracted, the release mechanism allows the latch arm to pivot and couple the pole guide assembly and the boom.

    摘要: A frame having upper and lower longitudinal frame members supports pairs of pivotally connected holding arms having curved “J-shaped” distal ends and curved blades mounted thereinbetween. Latch arms pivotally connect to one another on one end and to a short upper frame member and a short lower frame member of the longitudinal frame members support a disassemble cylindrical cam latch and lock assembly mounted onto the upper latch arm. A travel pin moves up and down within a predetermined channel or groove formed in a solid one piece cast cylindrical bushing and rotates in a predetermined pattern to simultaneously rotate and move a locking dog and a wedge shaped plunger extending downwardly therefrom up and down and in for cooperative engagement with a slot or keyhole formed in the lower latch arm thereby engaging or disengaging the “J-shaped” holding arms. The cylindrical cam mechanism is activated by lifting and/or lowering the tube bundle lifting unit onto the ground thereby causing the travel pin, locking dog, and plunger to rotate to preselected positions to lock or unlock the holding arms. Dropping the open holding arms on the ground releases tension on and activates the cylindrical cam locking mechanism so that upon raising the lifting arms they close around the tube bundle. Upon lowering and lifting the tube bundle lifting device to the ground takes the tension off of the cylindrical cam locking mechanism so that the cam assembly holds the arms in the open position to be removed from the tube bundle.

    摘要: A puller device (10) for engaging with a pallet of the type having at least a bottom deck formed of a plurality of substantially parallel spaced-apart slats, such slat being fixed to the slat-coupling side of a stringer that extends substantially orthogonal to the parallel slats. The puller device has a puller portion (11) having an elongated configuration along an axial direction thereof. The puller portion has first and second ends that are distal from one another. An engagement portion (13) is fixed to the first end of the puller portion and is provided with a stringer cradling portion (14) that is fixed to the first end of the puller portion and extends transverse to the axial direction for communicating with the slat-coupling side of the stringer in the region between the spaced-apart slats. The engagement portion has a thickness that is predetermined to prevent same from being urged between the slat and the stringer. Additionally, a flange (15) is arranged to extend from the stringer cradling portion, and a coupling protuberance (16) is fixed to the flange extending substantially toward the second end of the puller portion for communication with the surface of the slat that is directed toward the slat-coupling side of the stringer. A coupler arrangement (12) is disposed on the second end of the puller portion for facilitating engagement of a rope or chain.

    摘要: The invention contemplates a working implement, for use with an excavating type machine, which semi-automatically brings a pipe section to a specified grade, slope, and line for emplacement in a line of pipe sections to be laid on the specified grade slope and line. The implement is rigidly mounted to the excavation machine whereby the position of the implement can be maintained within narrow tolerances while the pipe section is linearly inserted into a previously laid pipe section, and can be retained at the specified grade, slope, and line while fill material is emplaced and consolidated about and under the pipe, with sufficient density that the pipe can be released without the pipe moving outside normal tolerances of the specified grade, slope and line. In general, the invention contemplates the machine and implement automatically bringing the pipe section to such specified height or grade, thus bringing the pipe section into position and angular alignment with respect to the specified pipe line, automatically establishing and holding specified slope, and optionally cross-slope, of the pipe section. The pipe section is then linearly inserted into the previously laid pipe section by the operator manually activating the linear insertion actuator.
