摘要： A cork extractor includes a fulcrum element having two parallel side walls forming a channel therebetween with an open side and a closed side, the fulcrum element extending longitudinally at one end thereof to form a rim constructed and arranged to rest against a bottle neck. Each of the walls has a longitudinal slot formed therein between a first slot wall closer to the open side and substantially parallel to the side walls, and a second slot wall closer to the closed side, with a plurality of no more than three notches formed in the second slot wall distributed over the slot from a top end of the slot to a bottom end. These slots include a first notch at the slot end closer to the rim which includes a rounded bottom, and a second slot wall portion extended toward a mid-to upper-point of the first slot wall and a second notch having a rounded bottom. A lever having a pin at one end is freely slidable within the slot and which may be received in the notches to engage a selected one of the notches. A corkscrew wire is pivotally attached to the lever.

The handle has an underside with a concavity, a topside, and on the topside at the first end, a cap remover. A corkscrew and arm are each pivotally attached to the handle. The corkscrew can swing about a corkscrew axis between a deployed position and a stored position that is located between the sidewalls inside the concavity. The corkscrew in its stored position is shielded along at least most of its length. The corkscrew axis is closer to the second end than the first end. The arm can swing about an arm axis, which is closer than the corkscrew axis to the second end. The arm can operate as a fulcrum for the handle.

摘要： A cork extractor tool for removing the cork from wine bottles has a cylindrical needle carrier with an attached axially directed hollow needle of sufficient length to penetrate through the cork. The needle carrier is slidably disposed within a tubular sleeve which closely fits within a handle. The handle and tubular sleeve are arranged to rotate the needle carrier and needle using a pair of helical grooves disposed through the tubular sleeve, with a pair of corresponding roller guides which extend radially inwardly from the handle through the respective helical groove and which are affixed to the needle carrier. A pair of radially oppositely disposed graspable positioning legs include lower arcuate bottle gripping portions which engage the bottle to facilitate placement of the cork extractor tool on the bottle. As the handle is axially forced downwardly from a raised position along the tubular sleeve to a lower position thereon, the needle penetrates the cork in an axially rotating fashion to facilitate easy cork penetration. Pressurized fluid is then injected into the bottle from a replaceable container of the pressurized fluid having an integral metering valve. The metering valve introduces a controlled volume of the pressurized fluid through the needle into the bottle to smoothly eject the cork from the bottle. Removed corks are easily stripped from the needle by a cork stripping portion of the tubular sleeve through which the needle extends and retracts during use by reversing the motion to return the handle to the raised position. Optional cutting blades on the positioning legs facilitate cutting of foil wrapping at the top of bottle prior to cork removal.
