Abstract: A solar boat for easy collection of spilled oil and garbage of the present disclosure includes a cabin unit, a boat body consisting of a pair of ship bottoms having a structure that is symmetrical left and right and spaced apart below the cabin unit, a solar panel unit provided above the cabin unit and configured to convert solar energy into electrical energy, a collection and transfer unit provided between the pair of ship bottoms, driven by the electric energy supplied from the solar panel unit, and configured to collect spilled oil and garbage into the inside of the boat body, a garbage storage unit, and a spilled oil storage unit, wherein the collection and transfer unit comprises a rotating conveyor belt, and an oil adsorption member and a collection member that are attached to and detached from the conveyor belt, and the solar boat for easy collection of spilled oil and garbage of the present disclosure has an effect of having excellent work efficiency by simultaneously including an oil adsorption member and a collection member that are attached to and detached from a conveyor belt and simultaneously proceeding with collection of spilled oil and collection of garbage on the water, and an effect of being able to separate the spilled oil from the oil adsorption member, the collection member, and the garbage and easily move the spilled oil to the spilled oil storage unit by including a steam spray nozzle configured to spray hot steam at the end of the conveyor belt.

Abstract: A water use management system may be installed in a setting that contains a primary infrastructure for water use to provide an alternate, modular infrastructure for water use. Fresh water used at various points of use, such as a shower or sink, may be diverted into the modular infrastructure prior to draining into the primary infrastructure. Once diverted, the precedent use water is received at a reservoir system where it is treated for a subsequent use. Treatment may include filtration and/or chemical treatment, and may be based upon sensor feedback from the reservoir system. Once treated, the water is ready for subsequent use and may flow from the reservoir system, via the modular infrastructure, to a subsequent point of use, such as a toilet.

Abstract: A combined method for carbon sequestration and water treatment is described in the present invention. Said carbon sequestration comprises capturing atmospheric carbon dioxide in an aqueous solution, and said water treatment comprises simultaneous removal of said carbon dioxide from said aqueous solution by electrochemical deposition of metal carbonates, hydroxides and/or mixed salts crystallised on crystallisation seeds or beads. The metal carbonates, hydroxides and mixed salts are insoluble or sparingly soluble inorganic compounds obtained from the captured carbon dioxide by chemical reactions with water and metal cations contained in said pre-treated water. The crystallisation seeds are seeding crystals serving as nucleation centres for crystal growth of the metal carbonates, hydroxides and/or mixed salts from the alkaline stream. The crystallisation seeds and beads are optionally chemically modified with chemical functional groups to provide selective tuneable purity to the crystalline metal carbonates, hydroxides and/or mixed salts crystallised on said seeds or beads.

Abstract: A desalination brine dispersal apparatus and method employ airlift to remove, oxygenate and disperse brine from a desalination apparatus. The apparatus includes a brine removal conduit having a brine inlet that receives brine from the desalination apparatus, a plurality of brine outlets submerged in seawater and one or more air introduction points located at depths below the brine outlets. The supplied air oxygenates and moves brine through the brine removal conduit and outlets via airlift and disperses the brine into seawater away from the brine removal conduit. The apparatus avoids the formation of concentrated, high shear brine plumes and can disperse brine into seawater over a wide area well away from the brine removal conduit.

Abstract: A compact waste combustion system deployed within a portable toilet has a burn chamber that includes a processor, a burner, a trapdoor mechanism configured to seal an entrance to the burn chamber when the compact waste combustion system is operated in a first mode and a waste receptacle configured to feed waste material to the burn chamber through the trapdoor mechanism in a second mode of operation. The processor may be configured to detect presence of a waste in the waste receptacle, configure the system to operate in the second mode and to pass waste into the burn chamber, configure the compact waste combustion system to operate in the first mode after the waste has passed into the burn chamber, and activate the burner when the compact waste combustion system is operated in the first mode and the waste is located in the burn chamber.

Abstract: A sink applied to a system for recovering and reusing graywater includes a sink body, including a water basin located at an upper part of the sink body and a cavity located at a lower part of the sink body. When the switching device opens the sewer and closes the sink graywater recovery pipeline, the graywater is led into the sewer and discarded. When the switching device opens the sink graywater recovery pipeline and closes the sewer, the graywater is led into the washing device.
