摘要： A rail puller that applies tension to rail sections to reduce the gap between the ends of rail sections. The rail puller comprises a first clamp assembly and a second clamp assembly located at opposite ends of the rail puller. A clamping beam is coupled to the first clamp assembly and the second clamp assembly, and has a clamping cylinder that extends and retracts to adjust the length of the clamping beam. At least two pulling members are coupled to the first clamp assembly and the second clamp assembly, and each pulling member has a pulling cylinder that extends and retracts to adjust the length of the pulling member. The clamping cylinder extends to clamp the clamp assemblies to rail sections, and the pulling cylinders retract to draw the clamp assemblies toward one another and reduce the gap between the rail sections.

The stripping apparatus is designed for stripping off ballast lying on the ties and includes a supporting beam, which is mounted for vertical adjustment on the machine frame, and a plurality of elastic sweeping elements, which are disposed in a substantially vertical position. The sweeping elements are fastened at their upper ends to the supporting beam and are arranged adjacent to one another in a sweeping plane extending perpendicularly to the direction of longitudinal extension of the track. Two support rollers fastened to the supporting beam are provided for riding on the rails of the track.

Ends of the machine frames are supported on the track by undercarriages for movement of the machine in an operating direction. A vertically and laterally adjustable endless excavating chain as well as a track lifting device is mounted on each machine frame. An upper layer of the ballast bed is excavated by the first excavating chain, the track is lowered to the remaining ballast bed layer, and the remaining ballast bed layer is immediately thereafter excavated by the second excavating chain. The excavated ballast is cleaned in a common screening installation, and the cleaned ballast is distributed at a trailing end of the second machine frame to the ballast bed.
