    摘要: A method and apparatus providing a hose access port for a mobile unit configured to provide access for a hose through an exterior wall to extend to a toilet for flushing a holding tank. The hose access port includes a hose-holding duct portion, an outside-mountable flange and a sleeve member. The hose-holding duct portion includes a bore extending between opposite first and second end portions of the duct portion and operable to extend through a hole formed in the exterior wall between an outside surface and an inside surface of the exterior wall proximate the toilet in the mobile unit. The outside-mountable flange extends orthogonally from the first end portion of the duct portion and is operable to be secured against the outside surface of the exterior wall. The sleeve member includes securing structure and is coupled around the second end portion of the duct portion. The sleeve member includes an inside-mountable flange extending orthogonally from the duct portion and is operable to be secured against the inside surface of the exterior wall. With this arrangement, the duct portion is operable to receive the hose through the bore into the toilet to run water therethrough and flush the holding tank.

    摘要: A five-second leak detection technique is used to test for invisible leaks in toilets and similar fixtures. Because of its speed it is particularly useful for large apartment complexes, condominiums and hotels where it is desirable to check hundreds of toilets in a short time. It's clear-cut results and high visibility make it ideal for home use as it unequivocally identifies seeps and slow leaks that may be undetectable otherwise. Checking is done by applying a swath of liquid with a high color density across the porcelain surface just below the rim drain holes in the toilet. If the a toilet is leaking, tiny rivulets of water draining from these holes will immediately cause white streaks in the dense colored swath, alerting the operator to the presence of a leak.

This tank device is built into a tank storage region 5 to the rear of the toilet bowl 2, and comprises a flushing water tank 8 and a jet pump 13 disposed submerged in this flushing water tank 8. Flushing water (operating water) is supplied to this jet pump 13 via a flush valve 11 and a pipe 12 downstream from this valve. The jet pump 13 comprises a spray nozzle 131 and a throat 132 opposite thereto. Because the jet pump 13 is connected directly to a pipe 14, all of the flushing water jetted from the jet pump 13 passes directly to the pipe 14, and is guided by this pipe 14 to a rim water channel 4b.

    摘要: A toilet tank with a sediment removal assembly comprises a flexible tube connected to the upper discharge spout of the intake standpipe in the toilet tank cavity, and a configured length of copper tubing connected to the flexible tube for water to flow therethrough when the float valve is open to flow water into the tank during a flushing operation. The copper tubing has a longitudinal section which extends downwardly and vertically from its connection to the flexible tube, an integrally joined first lateral or horizontal section curved or bent to lie on the bottom wall of the tank adjacent to the rear wall, and an integrally joined second lateral or horizontal section curved or bent to extend substantially normal to the first lateral section and lie on the bottom wall of the tank adjacent to the then facing end wall of the tank. The lateral sections of the copper tubing include small spaced apart apertures opening inwardly toward the center of the tank cavity, through which jets of water are emitted over the bottom wall of the tank as water flows through the flexible tube and copper tubing. The copper tubing terminates at an open free end adjacent the end wall of the tank along which it lies, such open free end facing the opposite side wall of the tank at its intersecting corner region where it meets the adjacent end wall. When water flows through the flexible tube and copper tubing it is spewed out in a stream directed toward the opposite side wall at the corner intersection. The impact of the water against the opposite side wall in that corner region forces the water to turn and begin to swirl in a circular whirlpool current or stream on the bottom wall of the tank. Such whirlpool current or stream, combined with the jets of water being emitted across the bottom wall of the tank from the small apertures of the lateral sections of the copper tubing, agitate the sediment accumulated at the bottom of the tank, raising the sediment into the whirling stream of water, and carrying the sediment with such whirling stream of water toward the centrally located drain in the bottom of the tank which is open during the flushing operation to carry water to the toilet bowl. Thus, during each flushing operation, sediment in the toilet tank is automatically flushed out of the tank into and through the toilet bowl, and on out the drain conduit leading ultimately to the sewer tile.
