    摘要: A material transport system for delivering and dispensing a large capacity of materials at a construction site using a plurality of removable carriages, each bearing a roll of material, mounted on a movable frame. The frame comprises a pair of dual powered axles each driving either a set of drive flanged rollers, or a set of conveyors, for moving the system along purlins, or joists, of a building. The flanged rollers are used when dispensing of material to a side wall of the building is desired and the building is roofless, and when dispensing of material to an end wall of the building is desired and the building is roofed. The conveyors, which are removably mounted to the underside of the material transport system, are used for dispensing material to a side wall when the building is roofed, and when dispensing material to an end wall when the building is roofless. In either case, the flanged rollers, or the conveyors, are simultaneously driven by a common pair of dual-powered axles to negotiate the constant or changing elevation of a building's roof structure.

    摘要: One preferred embodiment of an improved concrete anchor designed in accordance with the present invention for embedment in a concrete panel or the like includes an elongated bar having substantially flat parallel faces, an inner end disposed within the panel, an outer end disposed within a recess in the surface of the concrete panel and side edges extending between the faces. The side edges extend in continuously diverging relationship from adjacent the outer end to adjacent the inner end. In accordance with another embodiment, the preferred concrete anchor includes an elongated bar having substantially flat parallel faces; an inner end disposed within the panel; an outer end disposed within a recess in the surface of the concrete panel; and side edges, preferably substantially straight, which extend in a substantially parallel relationship between the faces. The outer end includes spaced, outwardly-projecting extensions disposed adjacent the side edges of the bar and, preferably, an elongated opening. The inner end is complementary in shape to the outer end, except that a major portion of the inner end is occupied by a void, preferably of triangular shape. The preferred concrete anchor is susceptible of relatively simple and economic manufacture as a unitary stamping.

The system employs a position securing means attached to the periphery of the construction component. The position securing means may be a strap of flexible, semi-rigid, or rigid material or combination thereof, or a self-locking device. The position securing means is adapted for attachment to a construction component opening when the construction component is in proper position. In the method of the invention, a construction component carrying a position securing means is placed in proper position within a construction component opening. Once in proper position, the position securing means is attached to the construction component opening, securing the component in proper position. The system and method of the invention may be utilized for installation of most generally planar construction components and, more specifically, may be utilized for installation of window units in proper position within a framed opening.

A masonry block having at least one body with a front face, back face, a pair of sides extending therebetween a top face and a bottom face, defining a block having six major surfaces. The cavity is sized and configured to receive at least a portion of a hand therein to provide structure for easily grasping and lifting the block. The centerline of the cavity extends from the opening inwardly so that the angle between the centerline and the portion of the side adjacent to the opening is less than 90 degrees, so that the cupped fingers of a user may be received therein.

    摘要: A method of installing an insert in a sandwich panel for mounting a fastener includes making a hole in the panel and inserting a spacer having a height greater than the thickness of the panel. An entrance rim of the spacer extends above an upper surface of the panel and a setting tool exerts a force on the entrance rim to force it into the hole and to position an upper edge of the entrance rim flush with the panel surface. The spacer can include an annular groove on an interior wall of the entrance rim to facilitate the cold working deformation during an installation in the panel and a hole engaging surface to align and maintain the spacer within the hole. An outer exterior surface of the entrance rim can be indented and coated with a first sealing compound to ensure a watertight seal with the panel. A second sealant material can be provided within the entrance rim for sealing with a head of any fastener extending through the spacer. An improved floor panel with spacer is accordingly provided for aircraft.
