    Abstract: Downhole tool assembly (10) for mounting to a core barrel assembly (12) including a core tube (14) and a pair of split tubes (16). The downhole tool assembly (10) includes a downhole tool (18) and at least one sleeve (20) dimensioned to slidingly engage the split tubes (16) to inhibit radial movement of the split tubes (16) and receive and retain the downhole tool (18) coaxially with the core tube (14). Core ejection pistons (72), and methods for extracting a core from bedrock are also disclosed. A housing assembly (120) for a downhole tool, downhole assemblies (180, 200), and methods of assembling such assemblies are also disclosed.

    Abstract: An array of sensors provided on the outside of a tubular string for measuring a property within the tubular string. The array of sensors may include a plurality of connected sensors, wherein at least one of the plurality of connected sensors is at least partially encompassed in a shroud. A snorkel line may extend from the shroud, the snorkel line capable of coupling with a sensor port in a tubular of the tubular string. The snorkel line may establish fluid communication between one of the sensors at least partially encompassed in the shroud and a corresponding sensor port of a tubular in the tubular string.

    Abstract: A downhole gauge for recording data during well treatment comprised of an outer housing having pressure ports, and a pressure-tight inner housing wherein a plurality of sensors, a power source, and a memory configured to store measured data are housed. The outer housing consists of a first section having external pressure ports with a spherical outer surface and a cylindrical inner surface with a hollow lattice structure within, and a second half having no ports with a spherical outer surface and a conical inner surface with an internal hollow lattice structure within. The inner housing consists of a cylindrical body comprised of one section having no ports, and a second section having one port wherein a plurality of sensors can be affixed. The inner housing sections are releasably coupled to form a pressure-tight seal. Further, the outer housing sections are releasably coupled and enclose the inner housing therein.

    Abstract: A sealed enclosure can include a glass portion that can be positioned with respect to an electromagnetic component that is in an area defined by the sealed enclosure. The enclosure can prevent fluid from a wellbore environment from contacting the electromagnetic component and to allow the electromagnetic component to wirelessly communicate with a component external to the sealed enclosure.     Abstract: A compact instrumented downhole coupling that includes a carrier and a set of sensors and electronics that are installed within the carrier. The carrier is a tubular structure having couplings at each end and a bore therethrough, where cavities are formed in the carrier wall. The cavities are open to a side facing away from the carrier's bore, where sensors placed in the cavities are accessible through the side opening. Electrical connections to the sensors are made via the side opening, and a clamp can be installed in the cavities via the side opening, the clamp holding the sensors securely in position within the cavities. After installation of the sensors in the cavities, plates are welded over the side opening to form an enclosure for the sensors in the carrier wall.
