摘要: Metal tubes, such as the small diameter metal tubes used in hydraulic braking systems, are connected to hoses also used in such systems by fittings which are configured to receive radially projecting beads on the metal tubes. Each of the fittings includes a body portion with a bore therethrough and a crimping collar which is unitary with the body portion. The body portion receives an insertion end of the tube therethrough, which insertion portion projects into the unitary crimping collar. A radially extending bead on the tube is received in a recess adjacent the bore through the body portion. In one embodiment, the tube is held in place by another bead which is seated in another recess at the opposite end of the bore.

摘要: A joint of a soft tube comprises a tube joint, an inner sleeve, and an outer sleeve. The inner sleeve is inserted into the soft tube and then the soft tube is inserted into the outer sleeve; then the connecting end of the tube joint is inserted into the soft tube. Next, by a hand tool clamping the actuating ring to rotate the tube joint, the connecting end of the tube joint is screwed into the inner threaded hole of the inner sleeve. The connecting end will cause the section of the inner sleeve having slots to expand outwards. As a result, the corresponding wall of the soft tube will expand and thereby deform so as to tightly resist against the enlarged end of the outer sleeve. Thereby, radial and axially connecting forces are formed, the soft tube can be firmly and tightly secured to the tube joint.

摘要: A swivel coupling used to connect metal tubes to externally threaded fittings in hydraulic systems includes a swivel nut which is attached to a tail piece by deforming a collar portion of the swivel nut into a locking relationship with the tail piece. This is accomplished by having facing and aligned shoulders on the swivel nut and on the tail piece which prevent the swivel nut from axially disengaging from the tail piece when the swivel nut is rotated to thread onto the threaded fitting. The tail piece has a flat end face which engages a flat end face on the fitting so that a leak-proof joint is formed between the tube and the fitting. The nut includes a frusto-conical portion that is engaged by a frusto-conical die surface on a split die ring in order to cam the collar portion toward the tail piece and align the respective shoulders thereof.

摘要: A hose coupling secures a flexible hose member having a radially outwardly facing exterior hose surface and a radially inwardly facing interior hose surface. The hose coupling includes a housing having a radially outwardly facing exterior surface and a radially inwardly facing interior surface defining a longitudinal passageway, a first axial end, and a second axial end. The interior surface includes a first ramped portion and a first seating portion. A tube support member has a tube portion disposed in the interior longitudinal passageway of the housing and a base portion fixedly coupled to the housing at the second axial end of the housing. The base portion has a seal seat region, and the tube portion has a radially outwardly facing exterior surface that includes a first grip ring for supporting the interior hose surface. The first grip ring is circumferentially disposed about the exterior hose surface. A seal is disposed between the first seating portion of the housing and the seal seat region of the tube support member. A grip/release mechanism is disposed in the longitudinal passageway of the housing concentrically exteriorly of the tube portion of the tube support member. The grip/release member is axially moveable relative to the housing and has a third axial end, a radially inwardly facing, axially extending interior surface defining an interior longitudinal passageway, and a radially outwardly facing, axially extending exterior surface. The grip/release member interior surface includes a circumferentially disposed sealing grip ring and a circumferentially disposed barbed grip ring disposed toward the third axial end relative to the grip ring. The sealing grip ring exerts a compressive force on the exterior hose surface and the barbed grip ring grips the exterior hose surface by exerting an expansive force. The grip/release mechanism exterior surface includes a second ramped portion.

摘要: A clamping joint (fitting) for pipes or hoses of a polymer material or a composite and having a base pipe made of polymer material. The joint includes a cylindrical support sleeve which is provided with several surrounding ribs and is defined by a collar on one end thereof. The collar includes a ring surface which is oriented towards the slip-on end and is situated in a level that is vertical in relation to the cylinder axis. A pipe or hose end having an enlarged cross-section can be slipped-on the remaining end (slip-on end) of the support sleeve. A clamping sleeve is slipped on the pipe or hose, can be displaced and is pushed over the slipped-on pipe or hose end for producing the connection. Webs having the same dimensions are formed to the ring surface. Each web is provided with a planar front face element that is parallel in relation to the ring surface. The front face elements of all the webs are located in a level that is in parallel in relation to the ring surface.
