Abstract: A frame apparatus for holding a flexible lance positioning drive device adjacent to and spaced from a heat exchanger tube sheet includes an upper guide rail carrying a movable carriage supporting a drive positioner rail having a drive support carriage and an air motor drive assembly fastened to each of the carriages, each air motor drive assembly comprising an air motor having a shaft driving a spur gear through a worm gear reducer, wherein the spur gear is carried within a spur gear housing fastened to the worm gear reducer, and the air motor assembly is fastened to the carriage via the spur gear housing. The spur gear housing is selectively rotatable on the carriage between a locked position with the spur gear engaging the rail to which the carriage is mounted and an unlocked position with the spur gear disengaged with the rail to which the carriage is mounted.

Abstract: The HVAC exterior cleaning pipework is a system attachable to a HVAC unit, such that the PVC pipework can clean the exterior of the unit by means of strategically placed sprayer valves. The pipework is extendable, such that it can expand or retract to meet the exact dimensions of the specific HVAC unit whereon it should be attached. The pipework may be connected directly to a hose with sufficiently pressurized water, or the integrated pump may assist in the flow of water. The spray heads and the pump have removable components whereby they can be cleaned separately when needed.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a water-absorbent resin includes a cleaning step of cleaning the inside of a heat exchanger that is connected to a vessel holding an aqueous gel-like polymer as a precursor of the water-absorbent resin and is configured to cool a gas containing the polymer generated in the vessel. The heat exchanger, and includes: a plurality of pipes that have an elongated path through which the gas passes, in which the gas is cooled due to heat dissipation during passage through the paths; a chamber that is arranged above the plurality of pipes and is in communication with openings at upper ends of the plurality of pipes; and a cleaner that sprays a cleaning liquid in the chamber. The cleaning step includes at least cleaning the inside of the chamber by spraying the cleaning liquid from the cleaner in the chamber.

Abstract: A heatsink comprising a heat exchange device having a plurality of heat exchange elements each having a surface boundary with respect to a heat transfer fluid, having successive elements or regions having varying size scales. According to one embodiment, an accumulation of dust or particles on a surface of the heatsink is reduced by a removal mechanism. The mechanism can be thermal pyrolysis, vibration, blowing, etc. In the case of vibration, adverse effects on the system to be cooled may be minimized by an active or passive vibration suppression system.

Abstract: A method of cleaning an HVAC coil unit located above a drain basin. One step of the method involves providing a supply and collection assembly having a reservoir containing liquid cleaning solution, a pump operative to output the liquid cleaning solution through a supply outlet, and a vacuum source operative to draw in used liquid cleaning solution through a collection inlet. According to another step, a nozzle device in fluid communication with the supply outlet is also provided, the nozzle device having a delivery face. A further step involves providing a fluid return tool in fluid communication with the collection inlet, and positioning the fluid return tool in the drain basin. According to a further step, the delivery face of the nozzle device is moved across a surface of the HVAC coil unit to deliver the cleaning solution into areas between fins thereof.
