摘要： A projectile including a penetrating member and a pyrotechnic composition, such as an incendiary composition. The composition is located ahead of the head portion of the penetrating member and is surrounded by a ballistic hood. The projectile includes a solid insert of a pyrophorically acting metal or an alloy containing such a metal. In order to increase the effect of the projectile, the pyrometal insert is located in a recess provided in the head portion of the penetrating member. Furthermore, arranged in a rearward extension of the recess and immediately behind the pyrometal insert is, additionally, an explosive material insert adapted to be detonated at impact against a target.

摘要： An improved inertial armor-piercing penetrator projectile wherein the axial length of the projectile is a relatively large multiple of its diameter. The projectile includes a pre-penetrator and a main penetrator with a nose and a tail. The forward portion of the main penetrator is operatively connected to the tail of the pre-penetrator. The pre-penetrator comprises a plurality of partial cores which are axially arranged one behind the other and are operatively connected to each other at mutual coupling regions so as to form a stack. The stack of partial cores includes centering and/or fixing means which may take various forms and can be selectively exchanged. The cover and the centering and/or fixing means are adapted to achieve a predetermined fracturing or separation upon the application of a predetermined load. Thus, the centering and/or fixing means include a weakened portion where the fracturing or separation occurs.The construction and arrangement of the partial cores is such that each partial core differs from the adjacent partial core with respect to dimensions and/or material so that a front partial core will sufficiently disintegrate upon impact prior to the next following partial core reaching the target.

摘要： An armor piercing bullet is made by first forcing a hard metal core into a sleeve-shaped filler and embedding the core therein. Thereafter the filler and the core are forced, as one unit, into a soft metal bullet jacket. In this way a very good centering of the core within the bullet is obtained, which is necessary for stabilising the bullet in its trajectory. Furthermore, the forces exerted on a quantity of incendiary material which may be located in the jacket''s tip are limited in this way so that the risk of spontaneous combustion of this material is decreased.

摘要： An undercalibrated projectile has its core covered by a cap of plastic extending with a cylindrical portion into a sabot which is connected by an automatically releasable coupling with the rear end of the core of the projectile. The coupling comprises an annular helical spring placed around a core formed by a spring ring and this spring combination engages lockingly an annular groove on the rear end of the core of the projectile and also engages tensionally an annular groove in the inner wall of the sabot; the last named annular groove having a cross section which is much larger than the cross section of the annular helical spring and an inner diameter which is greater than the outer diameter of the annular helical spring.
