摘要: A projectile deployment system includes an entangling projectile including a pair of pellets and a tether connecting the pellets. A projectile casing includes a pair of sockets, each socket sized to carry one of the pair of pellets and a selectively activatable pressure source, carried by the projectile casing. The pressure source is capable of expelling the entangling projectile from the projectile casing toward a subject. A launcher carries an activator operable to activate the pressure source to expel the entangling projectile from the projectile casing toward the subject. The projectile casing is removably engageable with the launcher to allow removal of the projectile casing from the launcher after expulsion of the entangling projectile from the projectile casing.

摘要: A stacked, collaborative engagement ammunition round is presented. The round includes plural stacked miniaturized projectiles where such projectiles separate after launch and then swarm as a group towards a target or targets. At launch, the projectiles may fly in a preselected formation, leader-follower towards the target. Or, the projectiles may deploy propellers, tri-copter or quad-copter vanes, and self steer swarming to the target. Each projectile has its own miniaturized guidance, navigation and control components, autopilot, cameras, transmitter, receiver, antennae, power source, sensors, fuzes and/or flex circuits.

摘要: A method for deploying a control surface from an exterior surface of a spinning projectile during flight is provided. The method including: moving the control surface in an interior of the projectile such that a portion of the movement retracts the control surface into the interior and a portion of the movement extends the control surface from the exterior surface of the projectile; determining a roll angle of the projectile; and synchronizing the movement of the control surface with the roll angle of the projectile.

摘要: A gun firing method whereby four projectile segments that are contained in a cartridge case are fired simultaneously which creates a predetermined square pattern on a target to increase the hit probability of the dispersion. Two sets of projectile segments that are contained in the cartridge case, are fired by a gun, spin around the central longitudinal axis of each projectile segment, and provide a powerful square salvo of projectile segments. The dispersion produces a substantial increase in the hit probability when compared to a single shot.
