摘要: A device and a process for mixing at least a first gas component with a second gas component is suitable for mixing gases in a portable respirator. The gas mixer device makes it possible to bring about the particularly necessary concentration of the first gas component at different volume flows of the gas mixture generated. The gas mixer device has a plurality of ejectors (1, 2) of different sizes, which are designed according to the principle of a venturi nozzle. The ejectors have respective propellant gas connections (3, 9) for feeding the first gas component from a propellant gas container (4) and suction channels (5, 10) for feeding the second gas component from a mixing chamber (6), as well as gas outlets (8, 11) to a respiration connection (7). An evaluating and control unit (17) evaluates the signals of two volume flow sensors (15, 16) and correspondingly actuates proportional valves (13, 14) arranged in the propellant gas connections (3, 9) for feeding the first gas component. For small respiration flows, the proportional valve (13) in the propellant gas connection (3) for the smaller ejector (1) is actuated by the evaluating and control unit (17) for opening, the proportional valve (14) in the propellant gas connection (9) for the larger ejector (2) is actuated for opening in the case of medium respiration flows, and both proportional valves (13, 14) are actuated by the evaluating and control unit (17) for opening for high respiration flows.

摘要: Sterilization apparatus includes a monitoring system capable of continuously monitoring levels of a sterilant, such as hydrogen peroxide vapor. The monitoring system includes a sensor chamber joined in fluid communication with a sterilant supply conduit of the sterilization apparatus. A gas-detecting semiconductor sensing element, and associated temperature sensor, are provided within the sensor chamber to provide output signals corresponding to detected levels of sterilant. The sensor chamber isolates parametric influence, such as relative humidity, temperature and flow rate, to provide more accurate concentration level readings. A data collection circuit is operatively coupled to the sensors to provide an output corresponding to detected levels of sterilant within the apparatus. The data collection circuit may include an electronic memory to store the collected data, and signal connectors, such as data ports for a physical connection or transmitters for a remote transmission, to transfer the signals representative of the collected data to a remote communication unit. A processor chip or circuit may be provided proximate the sensor chamber, and a processor may be provided in communication with the remote communication unit. The monitoring system can be controlled using a circuit to select conditions for operation, or by remote control using near infrared or radio wave signals.

摘要: A missile guidance system with a fixed body missile seeker having an adjustable look angle. The missile seeker has a fixed camera whose look angle is adjustable to keep a moving target within the field of view of the camera. The target is tracked by a tracker to generate target angle and line of sight rate signals. The target angle signal is input to pointing angle adjustment apparatus which adjusts the look angle of the camera. The pointing angle adjustment apparatus may comprise a stepper motor that controls the angular position of a gimbal on which the camera is mounted. Alternatively, the pointing angle adjustment apparatus may comprise one or more stepper motors that control an adjustable zoom lens or a plurality of optical wedges, respectively. A body angular rate output signal of a body-fixed inertial measurement system is summed with the line of sight rate signals from the tracker to determine the inertial line of sight rate of the moving target. The inertial line of sight rate is driven to zero or a low fixed value by a control system to accurately track a target. The control system and missile dynamics generate a body angle signal that is input to a difference circuit along with a camera pointing angle signal output by the pointing angle adjustment apparatus. The difference circuit generates a desired camera pointing angle that is input to the pointing angle adjustment apparatus to point the camera at the target.

摘要: A method of finding an unknown value from within a range of values is disclosed that divides the range into weighted subranges and then, beginning with an arbitrary search value within the range, performs a number of simple comparisons to determine the value for each subrange that will result in a match with the target value. This method can also detect those cases where the target value lies outside the range. In one embodiment, the method of finding an unknown value within a range of values is applied to impedance matching. In this embodiment, the output impedance of a pin on an integrated circuit is automatically matched to the impedance of the load connected to it. The output driver has a controllable impedance that can be adjusted within a specific range of impedances to match the external load impedance it is to drive.

摘要: A Y stage is capable of translational driving in the Y-axial direction, by independently controllable Y1 linear motor and Y2 linear motor. The amount of movement of the Y stage is detected by a Y1 linear encoder and Y2 linear encoder, and fed back to a Y control system and &thgr; control system. The Y control system outputs a translational thrust command value, by receiving the average value of each positional detecting value measured by the Y1 linear encoder and Y2 linear encoder as the stage translational direction position feedback value. The &thgr; control system receives the difference between each position detecting value as a stage yawing direction position feedback value, and outputs a yawing direction thrust command value. A non-interference block outputs Y1 linear motor thrust command value and Y2 linear motor thrust command value, by the use of the translational thrust command value and the thrust command value. Thus, the movement of the Y stage can be divided into translational direction movement and yawing direction movement, and independently controlled and compensated.

摘要: In this invention compare circuitry is integrated into a serial shift register which can detect a bit pattern of any length with only the delay of three circuits being added to the shift of the last bit in the bit pattern. The circuitry is connected to operate either is a shift register or as a comparator for an N element bit pattern. Between adjacent registers in the shift register is a MUX used to select compare or shift register operation. An exclusive NOR circuit performs the compare between bits of the serial bit stream and reference bits of the pattern to be protected. An AND circuit accumulates the compare of a particular stage with the compare with the preceding stage. In the last stage the AND circuit provide an accumulated compare result of the preceding number of bit equaling in length the length of the bit pattern for which the compare is being performed.

Each comparator includes first and second FETs arranged so: (a) the first and second levels of Ak are coupled to the common terminal via the first FET in response to Bk having the first value, (b) the first and second levels of Bk are coupled to the common terminal via the second FET in response to Ak having the first value, (c) the first FET decouples Ak from the common terminal and tends to cause the common terminal to be at the second level in response to Bk having the second value, (d) the second FET decouples Bk from the common terminal and tends to cause the common terminal to be at the second level in response to Ak having the second value, and (e) the common terminal is at the second level only in response to Ak Bk. A FET connected as a diode and coupled between the common terminal and each of the FETs maintains the common terminal at the second value in response to Ai Bi, where i is any value of k.
