    摘要: A drive circuit (1) for driving a load (3) comprises: a power supply (10) for supplying an output current (IL); a controller (20) for controlling the power supply; a current sensor (25) for generating a current sense signal (V25); a controllable switch (30) in series with the output (2a, 2b), the switch being controlled by a mode controller (50); wherein the mode controller in a reduced brightness mode generates its switch control signal (SLC) for the switch for alternatively opening and closing the switch. At the end of a current pulse, an average current value averaged over the pulse duration is calculated, compared with a reference value (VREF), and, if said average value is larger than the reference value, a duration for the next pulse pause is calculated such that an average value averaged over the entire pulse period is equal to the reference value.

    摘要: An LED drive circuit includes a current source configured to electrically drive an LED. In one configuration, the current source forms part of an integrated circuit that requires a relatively small amount of voltage for operation. As such, separate voltage sources can be electrically coupled to the LED and integrated circuit respectively. For example, a first voltage source provides a source voltage to the LED that is sufficient to allow operation the LED and a second voltage source provides a source voltage to the integrated circuit that is sufficient to allow operation of the integrated circuit but that is less than a voltage operable to activate the LED. As a result, a low voltage source can be used as a supply for all of the circuitry associated with the integrated circuit, including the current source, without sacrificing the supply voltage used to drive the LED.

The lamp-lighting apparatus has an inverter transformer, a switching circuit connected with the primary winding of the inverter transformer and acting to perform switching for converting a voltage from an input power supply, a shunt transformer connected in series with the secondary winding of the inverter transformer, lamps connected in series with the shunt transformers, and a control circuit for producing a control signal to control the switching performed by the switching circuit based on the voltages at the junctions of the shunt transformer and each of the lamps without directly detecting the voltage applied to the secondary winding of the inverter transformer. The number of protective circuits can be reduced. Consequently, the cost can be reduced.
