摘要: An RFID label processing system for processing base webs comprises a conveyor device configured to feed a base web along a predetermined conveyor path. The base web includes a sequence of processing segments, with each processing segment forming an RFID label. The processing system further comprises at least two processing modules which are arranged adjacent to the conveyor path, wherein the processing modules are spaced apart by a variable distance. At least one sensor module is configured to determine the position of the processing segments on the base web along the predetermined conveyor path and to output a segment position signal, so that a positioning module that is coupled to at least one of the processing modules and the sensor module may be configured to displace the at least one of the processing modules along the predetermined conveyor path depending on the value of the segment position signal.

摘要: A punchcode reader is provided for reading data encoded in a punchcode hole array on a dosimeter. The dosimeter falls through a passage in the reader containing photosensor detectors disposed along the passage which provide output signals to a microprocessor. The signals are processed to determine the orientation of the dosimeter in the reader, the location and state of punchcode holes in a two row array thereby decoding the encoded data. Multiple rate of fall calculations are made, and if appropriate matching of the punchcode array is not obtained in three tries, an error signal is outputted to the operator. The punchcode reader also provides for storage of data from multiple dosimeters passed through the reader, and for the output of decoded data to an external display or a computer for further processing.

摘要: An apparatus for moving a document 10 along a track 12 comprises conductive driven members 16 and idler member 18 together with circuit 54 for detecting electrical continuity there-between. Presence of an insulating document 10 between the members 16, 18 breaks an electrical circuit. The driven member 16 has a motor 36 controlled by a motor control switch 38b which can receive a control signal 40 to switch the motor on and another control signal 42 to switch the motor off. Space along a track, drive sets 14 cooperate to move a document along the track 12 with only 2 drive sets switched on at any time and without need for central control.

摘要: Ticket reading apparatus is disclosed having a moving grooved belt for transporting tickets fed singly thereto by separator rollers controlled by a clutch and brake in relation to information recording speed. Reading is accomplished by at least two detectors spaced to read information along the length of the ticket regardless of end-for-end orientation. Each detector comprises a light source and photocell detector having a narrow rhombic aperture for optimum reading of tickets oriented longitudinally on the belt or only slightly skewed. There is also provided a ticket routing gate assembly operated by a switch enabled by the information recorder to divert tickets to one of two routes and to stack tickets which have not been properly read.

摘要: A system for perforating record media by the use of ''''stationary'''' perforating equipment, i.e., in which the punches do not move in the direction of movement of the record media. The record media is transported through the perforating equipment by frictionally engaging the surfaces of the record media with a plurality of continuously driven rollers. The continuous frictional drive applied to the record media is maintained during the perforating of the record media to obtain high throughput rates. The frictional drive rollers are skewed so as to urge the media against an inturned flange on one side of the media supporting surface. A photoelectric sensor senses the position of the record media for actuating the punches only when media is present at the perforating station.
