    摘要: A method of examining a data stream to detect presence of a complex string belonging to a complex dictionary is provided. The method includes associating an array of state variables and an array of reference states with the complex dictionary; detecting a simple string in the data stream, the simple string being a constituent string in the complex string in the complex dictionary; updating a state variable associated with the complex string according to all relative positions of the simple string within the complex string; and determining that the complex string is present in the data stream when the state variable attains a corresponding reference state. A corresponding system is also provided.

    摘要: The present invention provides a novel method and apparatus for performing real-time computer garbage collection, in a manner that offers unprecedented low bounds on the worst-case frequency and duration of the collection task. The invention is used with a plurality of data objects and with one or more mutator programs. The mutators and a garbage collector run on one or more processors. The mutators each have a corresponding thread with a corresponding thread state. In the present invention, execution of all mutators is temporarily restricted at the start of each new garbage collection cycle. However, unrestricted execution of a mutator is quickly resumed, as soon as that mutator's thread state is processed. The remainder of the garbage collection cycle may be performed concurrently with the mutators. In another feature of the present invention yielding important performance benefits, the mutators are executed subject to a protective write barrier, but the write barrier does not have to be applied to the modification of mutator thread states.

    摘要: A method and system are provided for defining a search space of a community in which a client may search for resources. A client providing a resource registers the resource with a core. The core then lists the resource with an advertising service, which serves multiple cores. A client searching for a resource can search in the client's core and within the advertising service serving the clients core. In addition, a client searching for resources can define a community of advertising services remote to the client's core, then designate the community when sending an attribute-based search for computer resources to the client's core. In some embodiments, once a community is defined, a client can subscribe to an events within the community by searching for an event distributor within the community. The client is then notified of events occurring within the community that match the client's event subscription.

    摘要: A method to access trusted user generated content (UGC) is provided. User registration information containing one or more identities is obtained. Each identity corresponds to an internet social network that is facilitated by one of a plurality of social network sites. The social relationships are collected using the provided user identities at the different social network sites and user extended social networks are created for each user by joining the social relationships collected. Then, UGC is collected from the plurality of social network sites and the collected UGC is correlated with the extended social networks. The correlated UGC is filtered according to the user configuration of a user making a request, and then the results are presented to the requesting user. A search function is provided to obtain information on demand, or alternatively, a user receives feeds of information according to configured information regarding the user's extended social network.

    摘要: A method for detecting and locating occurrence in a data stream of any complex string belonging to a predefined complex dictionary is disclosed. A complex string may comprise an arbitrary number of interleaving coherent strings and ambiguous strings. The method comprises a first process for transforming the complex dictionary into a simple structure to enable continuously conducting computationally efficient search, and a second process for examining received data in real time using the simple structure. The method may be implemented as an article of manufacture comprising at least one processor-readable medium and instructions carried on the at least one medium. The instructions causes a processor to match examined data to an object complex string belonging to the complex dictionary, where the matching process is based on equality to constituent coherent strings, and congruence to ambiguous strings, of the object complex string.
