    摘要: A metal halide lamp has an arc tube including an arc tube container as an envelope made of an oxide-based translucent ceramic material such as alumina, and the arc tube is filled with cerium halide as a luminescent material and a halide of a rare earth element that is more reactive with the ceramic material than is the cerium halide. Accordingly, a reaction between the oxide-based translucent ceramic material and the halide of a rare earth element is accelerated while a reaction between the oxide-based translucent ceramic material and the cerium halide is suppressed. This suppresses a decrease of the cerium halide that serves for light emission, and also reduces changes in the lamp color temperature. Thereby, lowering of flux maintenance factor and color temperature in aging of the lamp are suppressed, and the thus provided metal halide lamp with an alumina ceramic tube for indoor and outdoor use has a white light source color and it has a high-wattage, high luminous efficiency, and a long service life.

Induction heating is carried out by the induction coil and induction receiver that presses against the wafer, the lamp envelope or both to hold the melting piece or pieces in contact. The induction receiver may be fused to the lamp body forming a functional part of the overall lamp structure. The preferred resulting lamp includes a bonded metal piece that can be conveniently used for electrical or mechanical coupling or positioning of the lamp with respect to a base.

    摘要: The invention relates to a high-pressure discharge lamp with a substantially elongate bulb which has two neck regions and a vacuumtight discharge chamber in a central position. The invention further relates to a reflector lamp and a projection system comprising such a high-pressure discharge lamp. According to the invention, therefore, it is suggested that the high-pressure discharge lamp is provided at least partly with a reflection layer at least in a neck region. The reflection layer reflects radiation in the entire spectrum (ultraviolet, visible, infrared) and is used in particular as a heat shield layer which reflects the radiation incident on the neck region at the lamp end and acting as heat radiation, so that an additional heating is prevented or at least reduced.
