摘要: A bait scale device (2) and a remote monitoring device (16) are provided. The bait scale device (2) comprises a bait holder (4) for receiving a bait product: an electronic weighing unit (7): a power source (9) providing electric power: a timing device (11.1) and signaling means (11.1, 12). The electronic weighing unit (7) is configured to measure the weight of the bait held by the bait holder (4) and the timing device (11.1) is configured to activate the power source (9) and trigger a weight measurement by the electronic weighing unit (7) in predetermined time intervals. The signaling means (11.1, 12) are configured to generate a signal (17) corresponding to the measured weight and transmit said signal (17) to a remote monitoring device (16). The remote monitoring device (16) is configured to receive signals (17) corresponding to a measured weight from said bait scale device (2).

摘要: A strike trap is disclosed with improved reliability and ease of setting. In a preferred configuration the improved trap is in the form of a tunnel or tube trap. In a preferred embodiment the strike bar moves upward from a low position to strike against an interior wall or equivalent structure of the tube. The strike bar is set by pressing it downward to become automatically latched near a floor or bottom of the tube. With the downward set action a single hand or foot can provide the set motion wherein the ground or other support surface exclusively provides a reaction force. A two stage retention system provides reliable low force, low travel trip action. The strike bar therefore can pivot adjacent to a wall with the bar extending away there from. This compact arrangement ensures the tube entrances in the tube embodiment are adjacent to the wall.

摘要: A mechanical rodent trap has a jaw mounted to a base, with a trigger therebetween which is activated by the incidence of a rodent. An acceleration sensor is mounted in a case in the base in a sensor module that logs and transmit a signal indicating activation of the trap. Alternatively a magnet holder secures a magnet to the trigger, and a Hall effect sensor is used in the sensor module. The sensor modules are sealed within a compartment formed with the base beneath the trigger and closed by a cover.
