The disclosure relates to a power toothbrush or the like characterized particularly by the fact that the brush element is driven in an orbital path, as distinguished from a more conventional angularly reciprocating motion. To particular advantage, the power driven brush may be motivated by a water powered nutating action motor mounted in the handle of the unit, although alternative arrangements, including conventional electric motor units, may be used to power the device. In the preferred appliance, an orbital output motion of a nutating drive motor is converted to rotary motion, and this in turn is converted back to an orbital motion in the brush or working element. In other forms of the device, the orbital output of the nutating motor is imparted directly to the working element. The latter arrangement has advantages of greater simplicity, while the former arrangement has advantages of greater compactness.

Concentrically arranged tubes connect the faucet with the hand held appliance, with the pressure side of the faucet connected to the innermost tube, while the exhaust or discharge side connects to the annular space between the inner and outer tubes. Novel, simplified swivel connections are provided between the appliance and the concentric tubes, and also between the tubes and the outlet fitting at the faucet.

This oral cleansing device assembly is an oral hygiene tool, which is powered by compressed air pressure. My invention uses no electricity, no battery; brush-driving power is derived from a small air motor with a rechargeable small compressed air tank integrated into the handle. This invention provides lifetime functionality to a power driven dental brush since compressed air is replaceable, reusable resource. Air compressor cradle is used to recharge the small tank. The same system can be used to replace rechargeable or alkaline batteries (with limited life cycle) to power electric tooth brushes, electric razor, toy cars and many small tools cordless drills, sanders where short duration cordless use is desired. Over the life time of the product by not replacing batteries, this system is more economical, also cost of design can be reduced.

In a providing step, an elongate, continuous, bristled sheet part having a first side lined with a plurality of bristles is provided. The elongate sheet part defines a length axis extending parallel to the sheet part and, viewed transverse to the length axis, a cross-sectional shape. The sheet part obtained in the providing step has an initial condition in which the cross-sectional shape has an initial shape, and the length axis is arch-shaped. In a transforming step, the sheet part of the providing step is transformed from the initial condition to a final condition to provide the recess wall. In the final condition the cross-sectional shape has a final U-shape, the length axis is arch shaped, and the first side is a concave inner side of the final U-shape. The first side is in the final condition more concave than in the initial condition.
