    摘要: A reciprocating saw includes a housing, a motor, and a drive mechanism. The drive mechanism includes a driven gear that is rotated by the motor. The driven gear is vertically-oriented within the housing. The drive mechanism also includes a drive arm coupled to the driven gear to translate rotary motion of the driven gear into reciprocating motion, and an output shaft coupled to the drive arm to reciprocate relative to the housing along a spindle axis through a cutting stroke and a return stroke. The drive mechanism further includes a counterweight coupled to the driven gear and rotating with the driven gear through a path and in a same direction. As the counterweight moves through a rearward half of the path, the counterweight generally moves in an upward direction, and as the counterweight moves through a forward half of the path, the counterweight generally moves in a downward direction.

    摘要: A saw system capable of cutting through a workpiece in one stroke is provided. The saw system includes a base, a turntable mounted on the base for rotation about a vertical axis, a support structure defining a cutting axis and fixedly attached to the turntable, and an elongated blade including a cutting edge. The turntable has a substantially planar support surface for supporting a workpiece. The support structure includes a pair of parallel sliding members, wherein the sliding members are disposed in a direction substantially parallel to the cutting axis. The elongated blade is spaced apart from the sliding members and is movable along the sliding members. The cutting edge includes a proximal end and a distal end, wherein an angle between an imaginary line connecting the distal end of the cutting edge to the proximal end thereof and its projection onto the turntable is an acute angle.

The saw blade may be removed from reciprocating saw, and a second tang, which extends from the rear end of the front body portion, may be exposed by breaking off an entirety of the rear body portion in a single integral piece from the front body portion. The front body portion, without the rear body portion, may be coupled to the reciprocating saw by coupling the exposed second tang to the reciprocating saw.
