    摘要: A circular saw guide is provided having an upper frame member with a plurality of angular indicia on an edge thereof. A lower frame member is pivotable relative to said the frame member. The upper surface of the lower frame member is adapted to receive a workpiece to be cut thereon. A pivot member is provided for selectively preventing or allowing pivoting of the lower frame member relative to the upper frame member. The upper surface of the upper frame member is adapted to guide the footplate of the circular saw. By pivoting the lower frame member relative to the upper frame member, the edge of the workpiece can be aligned with a desired indicia, which is indicative of the angle that the board will be cut. A method of cutting a workpiece at a desired angle is also disclosed.

    摘要: An angle divider includes a body portion with a proximate end and a distal end. A distal end pivot point is positioned in the distal end of the body portion. First and second removable arm are pivotally mounted to the distal end pivot point. The arms pivot with respect to the distal end pivot point. An adjustable pivot is mounted for sliding movement within an elongated slot formed in the body portion. Brackets removably interconnect the arms to the adjustable pivot. Movement of the arms results in movement of the adjustable pivot longitudinally along the body portion. A lock locks the adjustable pivot with respect to the body portion, which locks the arms in place with respect to the body portion. The removable arms can be removed from the adjustable pivot point for transport and to split the angle.

    摘要: An angle measuring gauge incorporates four arms pivotally connected to form a quadrilateral. The arms are connected to a guide bar that attaches to the quadrilateral along a diagonal and forms an axis of symmetry. A first corner of the quadrilateral is pivotally attached to the guide bar and the opposite corner of the quadrilateral is pivotally connected and is slidable along the guide bar to adjust the angles of the quadrilateral. In practice, the first corner of the quadrilateral is adjusted to conform to a desired angle, and the guide bar bisects the angle formed by the first corner and can be used to either ride in a miter slot of a cutting tool, or adjust a miter gauge of a cutting tool to cut accurate miters.

A reversible fence is removably connected to the base to support the workpiece on the base. The fence has opposite ends such that one end has a vertical edge portion for supporting the workpiece during conventional miter cutting of the workpiece and the other end has an angled edge portion for supporting the workpiece during compound miter cutting of the workpiece.

    摘要: The invention is directed to measuring the length of a piece of wood to be cut in a miter box, a frame and trim saw, a radial saw and the like. The miter box includes a back (24) having a surface (24a) against which the piece of wood is placed and slid into position for cutting by the saw blade of the miter box. A roller (30) is positioned at and extends slightly beyond surface (24b), and is mechanically and thence electrically connected to a LCD display (54). The roller is mechanically connected to a rotary disc (42) by any suitable means, such as by a secondary roller (34) and gears or by a cord (40) and pulley mechanism. Wiper contacts 60 are slidable on and against a surface of disc (42), and are electrically connected to LCD display (54). A reset switch (68) and/or a spring switch on surface (24a) enables the reading on display (54) to be reset, for example, to 1/2" which is the distance from a starting point and the path of saw blade travel. In operation, linear movement of the wood towards the saw blade cutting position causes roller (30) to rotate. This rotation is translated through disc (42) and wiper contacts (60) to conversion mechanism (58) and thence to display (54) to illustrate the distance of linear travel in the display. The read out from the display thus measures the length of wood to be cut.
