    摘要： This document describes techniques, apparatuses, and systems for severing a cable tie with a rounded cut. Using a cable tie severing tool, a cable tie may be looped around an object and a tail portion received through a nosepiece assembly. A head of the cable tie may be aligned using an alignment indicator to ensure a rounded cut of the serrated portion of the cable tie at a finite distance from the head portion of the cable tie. A blade member may be displaced to sever the serrated portion of the cable tie and produce a rounded cut free of sharp edges. In this manner, the likelihood of abrasive damage from contacting the rounded cut may be reduced.

    摘要： A pair of scissors with an open second handle includes a first blade and a second blade pivotally connected by a pivot member. A first grip portion of the first handle surrounds the basal portion of a user's thumb, the thumb extends out of an inserting hole of the first blade in a lateral direction and presses against a first extension section, so that the user can hold the first grip portion with the thumb without bending too much at the wrist, thus enhancing stability of holding the scissors. The user's middle, ring and little fingers press against the grip section of the second handle, and the index finger rests against the second extension section. Besides, since the second grip portion is an open structure, the fingers of the user are supported but not restricted by the second grip portion, which improves stability and flexibility when using the scissors.

    摘要： The present invention relates to a hand-held type opening and closing action tool in the form having front active pieces for cutting and other operations adapted to perform opening and closing motion around the axis of a pivot, as found in manual sharp-edged tools and manual tools, such as scissors, pliers, nippers, and strippers. The tool comprises a hand-holdable cover case formed with an elongated guide hole, opening and closing operation levers pivotally mounted on the case and normally resiliently urged in the direction to spread out from the case, and front active pieces operatively connected to the levers to bear the resilient force on the levers and adapted to be opened and closed by the levers, the arrangement being such that the levers are prostrated into the sunken state in the case against the resilient force and in this state the pivot of the pieces is slid along the elongated guide hole of the case, whereby the pieces are also received in the case in the sunken state.

    摘要： A shear having pivoted crossed blades normally biased to opened position is provided with a modular type latch allowing the single handed locking of the handles in a locked position or releasing of the locked handles into an opened position. The latch is integrated as a functional unit for ready association with the other previously assembled shear components by the mere insertion of the unit in situ whereat the shear is immediately available for operational use, securement being obtained without the need for screws or springs or hooks or like supplementary securement means, the latch being self retaining, once inserted. The salient feature is that the latch, which in one key sense is not fixedly related, is an independent unit which is a part of the total structure and serves as the means for latching and unlatching the blades in desired relationships.
