摘要： The present invention relates to a shooting board jig device. The device is comprised of a body having a base plate and a guide fence. The guide fence can be repositioned at a plurality of angles within a 360-degree range of movement atop the base plate and secured in said position via a pin. A hand planer known in the art can further be positioned along any side of the base plate. The generally L-shaped guide fence can then receive a board. The board is then placed towards the hand planer at the selected angle, such that the planar can be used to plane the edge or the end of the board. In this manner, the device allows a user to plane a board at a plurality of desired angles.

摘要： The improved hand plane of the present invention is used for planing wood, and includes interchangeable frog and blade assemblies. The plane includes a base with a sole and a throat, and a rear handle on the base adjacent the rear end. The frog is mounted in the base and extends upwardly and forwardly from the throat in a reverse angle so as to avoid interference with the handle. A blade is mounted to the frog with attachment screws accessible through the mouth of the throat in the sole of the plane. A pair of screws allows for depth and lateral positioning of the blade.

摘要： A hand or power tool which can be used as a planer such that the movement of the tool along a workpiece causes a portion of the material of the workpieces to be removed by at least one cutter blade provided on the tool at a baseplate of the tool which contacts with the workpiece. The tool is provided with at least one movable portion which can be moved with respect to the baseplate and hence the tool. The movable portion can be angularly movable to allow a chamfer cut to be accurately achieved and/or can be slidably movable with respect to the baseplate so as to protrude from an edge thereof to allow greater cutting accuracy to be achieved. In a further embodiment the movement portion can be provided so as to be moved to allow user access to at least one debris conduit.

摘要： A block plane uses a standard utility knife blade mounted at about a 40° angle so the edge of the blade runs parallel to the side of the main body. The blade is set angled to the longitudinal axis of the plane. A snap on plastic grip holds extra blades inside. Cuts of ten thousands of an inch are made, and buying different thicknesses of the disposable blades varies the cut slightly. Most utility knife blades are about 0.025 inches thick.

摘要： This invention relates to an articulated iron cap for a hand plane. The iron cap has a means for pivotally mounting to a hand plane and an articulating means for tensioning an iron in the hand plane whereas the articulating means is further configured as a chip breaker. The iron cap for the hand plane is configured to mate to either a beveled down iron or a bevel up iron. One embodiment of the invention has a chip breaker configured with a three dimensional axis for engaging a plane iron. In addition, the chip breaker is configured to pivot approximately perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the hand plane. Furthermore, a nose piece on the chip breaker is configured to pivot so as to align with the grind angle on the iron. This invention places a large mass chip breaker towards the cutting edge of the iron which allows for preloading the iron and dampening vibration of the iron. In turn, this all creates a smoother more accurate cut and requires less effort to use.

摘要： The invention is directed to a hand tool for cutting shavings from the surface of a workpiece of wood (or other workable material) to shape and make smooth any three-dimensional surface having concave, flat, and/or convex contours. The thickness of the shavings is modulated by the angular relationship and distance between a blade and a regulating post. An embodiment comprises a combination body and handle holding a protruding cutting blade at an angle of about 30° to the surface of the workpiece, and an adjustable protruding post in front of the cutting edge to limit the effective exposure of the cutting edge as the tool is moved into contact with the workpiece. The embodiments provide a full view of the cutting zone and unrestricted one-hand use on surfaces of any contour.
