The needle shank has a slot for receiving the needle latch and a first contact portion adapted to the back. The needle latch is pivotably mounted on the needle shank about a pivot axis between an open position and a closed position. In the open position, the back bears against the first contact portion. The latch needle has a damping spring adapted to the back and/or to the first contact portion in order to damp a contact of the back of the needle latch when in the open position, against the first contact portion.

摘要： Referring to a rehanging needle, the shaft is provided with a cutout that receives the tip of a rehanging spring. The cutout is divided into a first section and a second section, whereby the two sections have different depths. When a half stitch slides onto the rehanging spring, the spring tip can use the space due to the recessed second section and sink into said space, without the rehanging spring experiencing a permanent deformation. Consequently, it is possible for the half stitches to consistently and reliably slide up in order to set up the rehanging operation.

摘要： The starting point of a new concept in a latch needle (1) is an attachment of the latch spring (22) in the sawslot (9) of the latch needle from the side of the needle back (7). For this purpose the latch needle (1) has spring-supporting pockets (19, 21) accessible from the needle back (7) or other structures adapted to receive the ends (25, 26) of the latch spring (22). The spring-supporting pockets (19, 21) are closed toward the needle back (7) at least to such an extent that the ends (25, 26) of the latch spring (22) are held in a form-locking, or at least in a captive manner in the spring-supporting pockets (19, 21). Such a latch needle has a reduced tolerance sensitivity during manufacture. The described needle concept makes possible further improvements which contribute to the operational safety and service life of the latch needle.

Such a result may be achieved even with short spring lengths, whereby dimensional deviations of the spring have only a slight effect on the spring force. The structure is only slightly prone to soiling. The knitting tool may be manufactured in a simple manner.

摘要： A latch-type needle for transferring stitches has a needle shank and lateral clip that define a space, and the shank and clip are each provided with an oppositely arranged protrusion that extend into the defined space. In a stitch transfer operation between a so-called reporting and a so-called receiving needle a closed latch of the receiving needle is lifted and opened by interaction between the latch spoon of the receiving needle and the inner protrusions of the needle shank and clip of the reporting needle, whereby smooth opening of the latch during stitch transfer is accomplished.
