摘要： A locking device for a window or a door, wherein the window or the door has a sash slidable in a horizontal direction within a frame. When a user turns on a switch to control a block to move from the first position to the second position, the block protrudes out of a vertical surface of the sash, thereby driving a linkage member to disengage from the frame. At this time, the user could hold and push the block in the horizontal direction to move the sash between a third position and a fourth position. When the sash is pushed back to the third position, the block could be controlled to move back to the first position, namely back to a mounting groove, thereby moving the linkage member to a position where the linkage member is engaged with the frame. A method of operating thereof is provided as well.

The adjustable latch includes inner and outer housings, at least a portion of the inner housing being structured for axial and rotational displacement within the outer housing as an engagement projection of the inner housing is displaced about an adjustment slot of the outer housing. The apparatus may include a bolt assembly having a bolt rod and a latch bar, the bolt rod having projections that are structured to be adjacent to the latch bar when the bolt rod is at a first rotational position and at first or second axial positions. When the bolt rod is at a second rotational position, the axial positions of the bolt rod and the inner housing relative to at least the latch bar and outer housing, respectively, may be adjusted to adjust the backset setting of the latch.

To achieve the objective of the present disclosure, the windows and doors assembly having a ventilation function and a horizontal contact function includes a window frame, and a windowsill in which the window frame is slidably installed, a handle rotatably installed on the window frame, an engagement unit provided on a lateral surface of the window frame, linked to movement of the handle, and moved in upward and downward directions, an engagement guide provided on the windowsill to face the engagement unit and configured to catch or not catch the engagement unit depending on a position of the engagement unit, and a horizontal moving device provided on at least one of a top surface or a bottom surface of the window frame, linked to the handle, and configured to make the window frame horizontally come into contact with the windowsill or to release horizontal contact depending on movement of the handle, and in this case, when a contact state of the window with respect to the windowsill by the horizontal contact device is released while a catching operation between the engagement unit and the engagement guide is performed, it is possible to ventilate through a gap between the window and the windowsill, the window is restrictly moved to form the gap, and the window is prevented from being freely open.

摘要： A lock for a door including a configurable lock function. The lock includes a removable and user accessible actuator which when removed from the lock disables a lock function, and when inserted into the lock enables the lock function. Removal of the actuator places the lock in a disabled condition in which the lock cannot be locked by other means. 摘要： A combination sash lock and tilt latch in one integral fastener may suitably secure a sash window that is slidable and tiltable with respect to a master window frame. The fastener includes a lock assembly and latch assembly. The lock assembly is releasably mounted upon the meeting rail of the sash window without screws, using legs received within corresponding openings in the rail. The lock assembly is secured thereto by a biasing member causing engagement between the legs and rail openings. The lock assembly includes a pivotable cam to releasably engage a keeper on the master frame, and a pivotable arm extending into the meeting rail. The latch assembly includes biasing means and a latch member, which includes a fixed funnel member and a flexible funnel member on a distal end of a flexible beam, to blindly engage the lock assembly arm within the meeting rail, when installed therein.
