A tick catcher on a scroll may catch a tick to retain the scroll's end in an opening. A frame may be positioned on the support's display side to frame a display area of the scroll. Framing may cause at least some pressure on a part of the scroll to facilitate movement of the scroll between openings in the support. The frame and support may be unitary. A spacer(s) may be inserted between the support and frame.

摘要： A receptacle with compartmented peripheral walls for displaying personalized and changeable graphics is disclosed. The receptacle has an inner cylinder and a transparent outer cylinder which are spaced apart by vertical spacers which divide the cavity between the cylinders into compartments, each of which houses a removable sheet of graphic material. In a preferred embodiment, each compartment is sized to hold a standard, stock sized paper, such as 8½″×11″, so the graphics may be quickly and easily changed. Graphic sheet access means are also provided, whereby a user can conveniently change the graphic sheets without having to use a tool or turn the receptacle upside down.

The module has a housing having an opening in its front face and a movable strip of images behind the opening in the front face. The strip is moved by two horizontal cylinders which are individually driven by two drive motors arranged between the cylinders and controlled by a control unit. The housing includes framework located close to its back face. The module is compact and light in weight for a large area of window. A removable stretcher is inside the module and is accessible through the opening because the strip is made up of a plurality of elements interconnected by slider fastening means. The display module has supports and handles so that it can stand alone and can be easily carried.

Two or more rolls of indicia are located in a housing, the housing having openings on each side for display of the numbers or characters. The rolls vary in width, and the smallest roll bears the left-most information to be displayed. Succeeding rolls have their printed information straddling the next preceding roll so that information appears serially and identically on both sides of the display. Due to use of rolls, changing of the indicia on one side of the display automatically changes the indicia identically on the other side of the display.

The housing for the device has a three dimensional planform, with the advertising display strip being installed immediately within the transparent peripheral sides of the device and thereby providing for the omnidirectional display of messages on the display strip. At least one motor provides power for the takeup and dispensing reels, allowing the device to display a series of messages from one end of the rolled display strip to the other, before being reversed. An automated timer device may be included to cause the display strip to pause intermittently, thereby allowing a message displayed thereon to be communicated to viewers. The device may include internal illumination and a translucent display strip to provide for the backlighting of the messages. Electrical power may be supplied from the vehicle to which the device is attached.

The sliding movement permitted between the information panel and the web accommodates the varying radii created as the web and information panel are wound on and unwound from the web take-up rolls. The scrolling web sign is adapted to be backlighted to enhance the aesthetics of the display. The scrolling web mechanism is adapted to be retrofitted in display units adapted for displaying single sheet panels.

摘要： A ski area trail map holder is provided for use with a ski pole. In one form, the holder comprises a tubular housing having a spring biased roller therein. The housing is attachable to the ski pole at any point along the pole. The ski area trail map is releasably secured to a map cover which is extendable from a retracted position in which it is rolled on the roller, to an extended position in which it is outside of the housing. The map cover comprises two transparent sheets, each of which is attached at one end to the roller and each of which has a free end located outside of the housing. A locking mechanism is provided for securing the map cover and/or map in an extended position. In a second embodiment, the ski pole itself acts as the outer housing for the map holder.
