    摘要： An improved corrosion-resistant magnetic influence minesweeping cable is provided. The cable produces a magnetic field that simulates a ship's magnetic signature as the ship passes through the sea. It has an outer anode conductor made of titanium-clad copper with mixed metal oxide at its aft end, an outer cathode conductor made of nickel-clad copper at its forward end, an inner conductor made of aluminum that runs the length of the cable, and a steel core strength member that also runs the length of the cable. The outer anode conductor is in electrical contact with the inner conductor. The outer cathode conductor is insulated from the inner conductor. The outer cathode conductor and the inner conductor can be connected to an electrical power source onboard a towing vessel.

    摘要： Disclosed herein is an electrically conductive buoyant cable. The cable includes an electrical conductor member having at least one pair of electrical conductors. The electrical conductors are embedded into a core member. The core member defines a filler layer. A reinforcing member is similarly embedded into the core. The reinforcing member includes strands of reinforcing fibers. The reinforcing members are grouped to support the electrical conductor and prevent delamination. A skin member surrounds the core member and encapsulates the members and prevents water penetration. A tie down member secures each end of the cable while an end cap is fitted over the tie down member. The end cap is sized and shaped for compatible engagement with the desired movable device and a power source.

    摘要： An electrical cable of the self-floating type for use in marine environments is provided with elements for taking up mechanical tractive forces. The electrical conductors of the cable are surrounded by an inner friction layer with a low friction coefficient. Around this layer a force equalizing layer of metallic material is provided and this layer is surrounded by hollow strands of soft plastic material. An outer friction layer of the same material as the inner friction layer surrounds the hollow strands and the whole system together with the elements for taking up the tractive forces is embedded in a cable mantle of rubber-like plastic material.

    摘要： A low-drag underwater towing cable having a high stability at high towing speeds. The cable comprises an elongated hydrofoilshaped structure with a leading edge made from continuous unidirectional glass fibers bonded together and a trailing edge made from flexible material such as plastic, rubber, or the like. An elastomer impregnated cross-woven material covers and encloses the leading and trailing edge portions. Braided electrical conductors are led through the trailing edge at a predetermined location nearest the leading edge for preventing tension forces and for avoiding interference with trailing edge yielding properties.
