摘要: A first reference portion has a lower surface of a first color. A second reference portion is adjacent to the first reference portion in a first direction and has a lower surface of a second color. A data processing portion executes a color determination process of determining whether one or more reference pixel data of a reference area in line image data is data of the first color or the second color. A control device sequentially selects a plurality of drive operations from a plurality of trial drive operations and causes the unit drive device to execute the plurality of drive operations, thereby positioning a scanning unit at a home position. When causing the unit drive device to execute the plurality of drive operations, the control device outputs, to the unit drive device, a speed command signal of a different level according to a moving distance of the scanning unit.

摘要: An image scanning device includes a transport section that transports a document along a transport path; an image scanning unit that is configured to scan an image from the document transported by the transport section; and a first conductive section that is configured to electrically conduct with the image scanning unit. The image scanning unit has a scanning section that is configured to scan the image from the document transported by the transport section, a glass plate that is configured to contact with the document between the scanning section and the transport path, and a second conductive section that is configured to electrically conduct with the glass plate. The image scanning unit is configured to displace along a displacement direction that intersects the transport path. The first conductive section is configured to follow the displacement of the image scanning unit and to maintain electrical conductivity with the glass plate by maintaining a state where the first conductive section is in contact with the second conductive section by following the displacement of the image scanning unit.

摘要: Embodiments of systems and methods are disclosed herein to transfer a printed election sheet from a printer to a scanner, which is separate and distinct from the printer, without human intervention. More specifically, the present disclosure provides a retrofit automatic document feeder (ADF), which may be “retrofit” or adaptively coupled between a printer and a scanner for automatically transferring a printed election sheet output from the printer to the scanner, where it is scanned to generate a scanned image of the printed election sheet. Unlike conventional ADFs incorporated within printers, scanners and multi-function printers, the retrofit ADF disclosed herein is coupled to receive a printed election sheet output from an output port of the printer, advance the printed election sheet away from the output port of printer and automatically transfer the printed election sheet to an input port of the scanner.

The image sensing apparatus includes an image sensing assembly configured to sterilize and scan an object to be scanned, the image sensing assembly including a frame having an accommodating cavity and an opening communicating with the accommodating cavity; a contact image sensor, configured to read image information of the object to be scanned, the contact image sensor including detection light sources configured to emit detection beams; and a sterilization module, the sterilization module and the contact image sensor being sequentially arranged in the accommodating cavity in a first direction, and the sterilization module including an ultraviolet light source capable of emitting ultraviolet light to sterilize the object to be scanned.
