    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes an image former to form an image on a sheet based on an image forming condition for adjusting a position of the image on the sheet, a heater to fix the image on the sheet, and an image reader to read the image on the sheet, the image reader being arranged downstream from the heater in a conveyance direction in which the sheet is conveyed. A processor controls the image former to form an image including a mark on a sheet, controls the image reader to read the mark, generates the image forming condition based on a reading result of the mark by the image reader, and controls to determine, in a case where a second image including the mark is formed by the image former after the first image including the mark is formed by the image former, whether to form a chart including the mark on the sheet before the second image is formed based on an elapsed time after forming the first image.

    摘要: According to one embodiment, an image forming apparatus includes a conveyance mechanism, a scanner, a buffer memory, a passage sensor, and a controller. The conveyance mechanism conveys a document along a conveyance path. The scanner reads an image on the document at a reading position along the conveyance path and generates image signals corresponding to the image that is read. The buffer memory stores image data corresponding to the image signals. The passage sensor is on the conveyance path upstream of the reading position. The controller determines whether to output the image data from the buffer memory after a sheet passage prediction time elapses based on the length of time required during a normal operation for the trailing edge of the document to reach the reading position.
