Abstract: A regulated drafting system produces changes in strain by altering the delivery rate. The can press, however, runs uniformly. A store between the delivery cylinder and the can press detects changes in the quantity of fibre strip delivered. The store can be arranged so that it makes "flying can changing" possible.
