    Abstract: Present systems and methods are directed to a passenger restraining system (18), which includes a restraint and a locking mechanism (60), and a lighting system (50), which includes a variety of light sources. At least a portion of the variety of light sources is integrated with the restraint. Furthermore, the lighting system (50) receives an indication of a configuration of the locking mechanism (60), executes a first light scheme via the plurality of light sources when the indication is of an unlocked configuration, and executes a second light scheme via the plurality of light sources when the indication is of a locked configuration.

    Abstract: An amusement park ride system including a ride vehicle (12), a ride control system (30) that may track a location of the ride vehicle (12) on a ride path (14) and a haptic feedback system (40) having a screen (58) having a surface modifying component (78). The surface modifying component (78) may be positioned on the ride vehicle (12). The haptic feedback system (40) also includes a control system (30) having a memory (62) and a processor (60). The memory (62) stores instructions that, when executed by the processor (60), may cause the haptic feedback system (40) to convert data from the ride control system (50) into tactile information representative of scenery surrounding the ride vehicle (12) based on stored scenery data that is correlated to the location.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that provide directional speakers and haptic devices for each guest of a ride vehicle. A controller may receive a vehicle location, seat location data, input audio data, and input haptic data. The seat location data may include a guest's seat location in the ride vehicle and/or the guest's preferences (e.g., a preferred language, volume preferences, or content rating preference). The controller may generate different audio output signals corresponding to different guests based on the input audio data, the vehicle location, and/or the seat location data, and generate different haptic output signals corresponding to different guests based on the input haptic data, the vehicle location, and/or the seat location data. The controller may then instruct directional speaker directed at the seat locations of the different guests to output the different audio output signals and instruct haptic devices directed at the seat locations to output the different haptic output signals.

    Abstract: A ride attraction system includes a tower track (20) and a ride vehicle (12) configured to accommodate one or more riders (14). The ride vehicle (12) is coupled to and configured to move relative to the tower track (20) and the ride vehicle (12) includes one or more user input devices (72). The ride attraction system further includes an image system configured to display a ride environment, wherein the user input devices (72) are configured to enable the one or more riders to interact with elements of the ride environment via the one or more user input devices (72). The ride attraction system further includes a controller (120) communicatively coupled to the ride vehicle (12) and the image system and configured to control movement of the ride vehicle (12) relative to the tower track (20) based on signals from the one or more user input devices (72).
