摘要:
A protective headwear (20) is provided and includes a support member (28) configured to engage a user's head, an outer shell (24) coupled to the support member (28) and rotatable relative to the support member (28) between a first position and a second position, and a member (52) coupled between the support member (28) and the outer shell (24) to reduce angular velocity of the outer shell (24) as it moves from the first position to the second position. The protective headwear may be a welding helmet.

The present invention relates to a welding mask for protecting the eyes of a user from a strong welding light during welding. More particularly, the present invention relates to a welding mask which has a face protecting plate made of a transparent material to protect the face of a wearer from the heat and flame of welding and to enable the wearer to see a broad portion of the surrounding area of a welding point, and which has a light shielding part the light shielding rate of which is higher than that of said face protecting plate so as to block the strong welding light generated from the welding point. The welding mask consists of a head part to be worn on the head of a wearer; and a face protecting plate installed at the front portion of said head part so as to cover the entire face of the wearer, wherein the face protecting plate is injection-molded with a transparent synthetic resin material so as to block harmful light and flame generated during welding, wherein a portion of said face protecting plate has a light shielding part formed thicker than the face protecting plate so as to have a light shielding rate higher than that of said face protecting plate.

Methods and systems for transmitting a torch angle and/or a torch-to-workpiece distance error to a welding operator when these parameters are outside of a preset optimal range via real time visual and/or audio cues are provided. One embodiment of the present disclosure relates to weld characteristic communication via intuitive arrays of visual indicators located on the periphery of a lens (24), which indicate to the welding operator the direction and severity of the torch angle error. In one embodiment, audio cues, such as pulsed or continuous tones may be used to communicate torch-to-workpiece distance to the welding operator. In certain embodiments, vertical visual indicator arrays (32) may be used to indicate additional weld or auxiliary information, such as battery charge state, torch speed and so forth, to the welding operator. All the components of the communication system may be located in or on the welding helmet or the components may be split between the helmet and a belt pack.

A weld recording system mounted in or on a welding helmet is provided. The weld recording system includes a camera assembly unit, a power supply unit, a processor, and removable memory. The weld recording system interfaces with lens control circuitry, an optical sensor, a welding power supply, and a helmet position sensor. Logic is provided for the triggering and recording of video and audio signals, which are eventually stored in a file for future reference. Transmission of signals from one or more welders to a monitoring station for eventual display is presented. An image processing algorithm is provided to combine multiple images with varied exposure times into a visual image of the weld and its surroundings.

The present invention relates to apparatus and a method for displaying at least one welding condition. The apparatus comprises: a monitoring unit for monitoring at least one welding parameter, a processor for determining at least one welding condition in real-time in response to said monitored parameter(s), and a display operatively associated with said processor for displaying the so-determined welding condition in real-time. The present invention also relates to a method for automatically controlling low fume and/or minimised arc length welding conditions during welding, and a method for automatically controlling welding to avoid globular mode of metal transfer.

A headband (110) for use in a headgear support includes a first end section (120) having a plurality of connectors (134) extending latitudinally from a lateral surface of the first end section. The headband also includes a second end section (160) having a fastener (170) attached adjacent the end thereof. The fastener includes a flexible lever arm (178) and a cooperating connector (176) biased in an engagement position with at least one of the plurality of connectors (134) of the first end section (120) to hold the headband in a selected loop configuration. The flexible lever arm (178) is movable to a release position upon application of force thereto to cause the cooperating connector (176) to disengage from the at least one the plurality of connectors (134)of the first end section to enable increasing the size of the loop of the headband. The plurality of connectors (134) of the first end section (120) can, for example, be ratchet teeth.

The present invention relates to a convenient welding helmet comprising a lens support, a lens frame, transparent protective glasses, welding sunglasses, loopholes, a shade for cover face, a head belt, clamping springs, a light screen and a lower bracket. The covering shade is fixed to the lens support and the lower bracket by push buttons. The head belt is joined to the two edges of the lens support, the loopholes is located on the two sides of the lens support. The strip welding sunglasses are laminated on the transparent protective glasses, which are fixed to the inside of the lens frame by the clamping springs. The upper and lower ends of the clamping springs are fixed by a clamping pedestal and two supporting pedestals. The lower bracket is mounted under the lens support by screws. The light screen may be mounted on or pivoted on the lens frame, or may be removed. The push buttons for mounting a helmet are mounted on the top outside and left and right sides of the lens support. The helmet may be mounted or removed according to requirement. In addition, the bigger covering shade may be selected. The present welding helmet mainly is used for protect eyes, face and head while electric welding and gas welding. The welding helmet is weared on the head, and does not need hands, so it is easy to use, more convenient to change glasses, and could keep out highlight without obstructing observation, keep away splash spark sand when gas cutting.
