Abstract:
A method and a file format transformation system (FFTS) for transforming marked-up content in a first file format (FFF) to a second file format (SFF) that enables automated browser based pagination are provided. The FFTS reflows marked-up content of the FFF into a continuous page. The FFTS generates and appends tags to spaces and block elements identified in the reflown marked-up content of the FFF. For each space and block element, the FFTS determines and tags line breaks in the reflown marked-up content. For each line break, the FFTS identifies, tags, and positions anchored floats and footnotes on a current page based on space availability. The FFTS positions page breaks in the continuous page based on a configurable page height and the line breaks. The FFTS groups the marked-up content, inserts pagination elements and renders the grouped marked-up content in the SFF based on a selected level of reversibility.
Abstract:
The invention discloses a system for accessing and viewing Internet content on a portable device by means of a proxy server. The server requests web content, renders it and sends compressed image parts to the device. In order for the device to be cost-competitive, its processing operations are generally limited to decompressing image parts and displaying them. The server sends information to the device that allows it to locally create, display and manage text boxes, in which the user can type immediately. As a user types into a local text box, text input data is communicated to the server and processed therein before further requests for web content. By simultaneously managing multiple text boxes locally, the present invention reduces instances of data transfer from the server to the device, which decreases the likelihood of lag and improves the performance of the device.
Abstract:
The described technology is directed towards determining the rendering of user interface (UI) elements, referred to as views, based upon styles, in which styles comprise property values such as color value data, font data, border data, position data, and/or animation-related data applied to a view. A view object instance is returned upon request based upon an identifier that is used to select an unstyled view object and a style applied to that view object. The styles may be maintained as a fixed set of styles for a runtime session.
Abstract:
Disclosed are various embodiments for sharing documents among users of an enterprise as well as with users external to an enterprise. A document is identified and document components extracted from the document. A browser representation is generated that, when rendered or interpreted by a browser, causes the browser to generate a user interface that presents at least a portion of the document as the document would be viewed by a native viewer.
Abstract:
A reservation system is disclosed. The system comprises a communication means for receiving, from a remote device, an availability request for a product or service; sending, to the device, a first ordered list element data representing a distribution of a plurality of different products or services within a map in response to receiving the request; and for receiving, from the remote device, a reservation request for one of the plurality of different products or services.
Abstract:
Techniques for programmatically magnifying one or more visible content elements of at least one markup language document, so as to increase the display size of those visible content elements. A magnification facility may be configured to apply multiple different zoom techniques. The magnification facility may be configured to evaluate the markup language document(s) at a time that the document(s) are being processed for display to select which of the multiple different zoom techniques may be applied at a time to increase a display size of visible content elements relative to a default display size for those elements. The magnification facility may be incorporated within the markup language document(s) and executed by a viewing application that processes markup language documents. For example, the markup language document(s) may form a web page and the magnification facility may be implemented as scripting language code incorporated into the document(s) of the web page.
Abstract:
A mobile terminal for sharing a part of a web page provided. The mobile terminal comprises a communication unit configured to receive data on the web page from a network, a display unit configured to display a partial region of a web page of the received web page, and a control unit configure to obtain an address of the web page and information on the partial region and cause the communication unit to send the address and the area information to another terminal. A method for sharing a part of a web page is provided. The method comprises receiving address information on a web page and position information on a partial region of the web page, determining the partial region of the web page of the web page based on the address information and the position information, and displaying the determined partial region of the web page.

Abstract:
A system, method and computer-accessible medium for analyzing an electronic document (s) can be provided. For example, content data can be received that can be related to the electronic document(s). The content data can be segmented into a plurality of first segments, and then combined into a second segment(s). Ranking information can be generated for the second segment(s).
