Abstract:
Herein is described a scratch-off structure comprising the following layers in order: a substrate having a first layer showing information thereon, a second layer comprising a polymeric film and being substantially transparent; a third layer comprising a transparent electrostatic ink; a fourth layer, wherein the fourth layer is coloured. Methods for making scratch- off structures and collections of scratch-off structures are also described.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A redundantly printed security-enhanced document, printing method and system are provided for ensuring the meaning of the information imparted by variable indicia printed on documents with removable scratch-off coatings by the redundant printing. By printing the variable indicia with multiple colors, redundancy and integrity of the intended indicia is achieved. Additionally, inverted color indicia countermeasures to pinprick attacks are also disclosed. The redundantly printed document, methods and systems enhance the overall appearance of the redundantly printed document, and reduce the consequences possibly resulting from misprinted variable indicia.
Abstract:
Abstract:
An article such as a greeting card (10) comprising a sheet (11) defining at least one central portion( 16)and at least one versatile portion (18) connected together via at least one fold (20). The central portion (16) has two opposing edges (26, 28) adapted to be drawn together to create a three-dimensional form. The fold (20) is located at a junction of the central portion (16) and versatile portion (18). These portions (16, 18) are foldably connected together whereby the versatile portion (18) can be folded and adapted for location adjacent to or at an angle to the three-dimensional form, and may be secured at that location. The greeting card (10) may further comprise numerous engagement means (30, 32), apertures (38) and cords (39). The greeting card (10) can be delivered in a collapsed condition and can be readily assembled into a three-dimensional form revealing the ingenuity of the card.
Abstract:
A card with encapsulated precious metal, comprising a card (2) over which a precious metal bar (3), such as a gold or silver bar, has been encapsulated in resin (4). The card may be printed with identifying information (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18) for the precious metal, and there may be a remote-readable identifier, such as a radio frequency identification (RFID) chip (5) embedded in the card (2) also carrying identifying information.
Abstract:
A greeting card distribution system comprises a display (20) where the cards (27) are positioned in pockets (26) edgewise so that no more than 20% of the front face (82) of the cards (27) is visible to increase the density of cards (27) that can be sold in a limited retail space. The images of the cards (27) in the display (20) can be viewed on a client device (204). A customer can be provided a location code (92) for a purchased card, and can then remove the card from the pocket (26) associated with the location code (92). Preferably the display (20) has multiple replaceable modules (24) so that cards (27) can be restocked or changed out in bulk by removing a replaceable module (24) and replacing it with another module (24) already stocked with cards (27).
Abstract:
A container such as a package for retail display comprises a tubular housing (12) having first and second opposed open ends, and a sliding carrier (14) supported in the housing (12). The carrier (14) is movable through the first end of the housing between a retracted position in which a first portion of the carrier is within the housing and a second portion of the carrier protrudes from the second end; and an extended position in which the first portion of the carrier protrudes from the first end and the second portion is within the housing. An insertion stop structure (36, 38) limits movement of the carrier from the extended position upon reaching the retracted position and limits protrusion of the second portion of the carrier from the second end of the housing. A withdrawal stop structure (40, 42) limits movement of the carrier from the retracted position upon reaching the extended position.
