    Abstract: Trailing suction hopper dredger, comprising a hopper and a suction pipe extending from the hopper, wherein a suction head is provided at an end of the suction pipe, and an outlet at an opposite end for disposing dredging sludge into the hopper. At least one jet pipe is connected to the suction head for jetting water into a suction chamber of the suction head through at least one jet and a recycle line is provided between the hopper and the suction head for feeding effluent from the hopper to the suction head.
