Abstract: The system for the recovery of at least one object resting on a seabed comprises a floating support device and at least one underwater vehicle connected to the support device by means forming an umbilical, the underwater vehicle further comprising a receiving container arranged to receive the recovered object, handling means arranged so as to transfer the object from the seabed into the container, a chassis, means of displacement on the seabed, the displacement means comprising propulsion means arranged so as to allow movement of the underwater vehicle relative to the seabed and passive support means that are independent of the propulsion means and are arranged so as to bear on the seabed.
