Abstract: In one aspect, a computer-implemented method for recommending an optimal configuration for a target system is provided. The method includes obtaining a plurality of samples, wherein each sample corresponds to a system configuration. The method includes extracting, from each of the plurality of samples, a plurality of features. The method includes grouping the plurality of samples into one or more clusters, wherein each cluster comprises a set of one or more samples. The method includes calculating, for each respective cluster of the one or more clusters, one or more metrics for each extracted feature based on the set of one or more samples in the respective cluster. The method includes calculating, for each respective cluster of the one or more clusters, a weight for each extracted feature based on the calculated one or more metrics for each extracted feature. The method includes obtaining a set of one or more requirements for a target system. The method includes determining an optimal configuration for the target system based on the calculated weights for each cluster and the set of one or more requirements.

Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention sets forth a technique for evaluating connections between nodes in a mesh network. The technique includes identifying a plurality of potential parent nodes for a first node included in the mesh network; computing, for each potential parent node, one or more accumulated message success rates associated with transmitting messages from the first node to a target destination within the mesh network via the potential parent node and with receiving messages from the target destination via the potential parent node; and selecting, from the plurality of potential parent nodes and based on the accumulated message success rates, a parent node for the first node.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for aggregating and exposing infrastructure capability information is provided. The method includes extracting infrastructure capability information, wherein the infrastructure capability information includes available resource types and, for each available resource type, first attribute information including a first attribute name and a first attribute value. Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure include implementing fabric availability and synchronization (FAS) agents within a fabric network. In one example, a first FAS agent executing on a first network device may receive, from a second network device, a command to modify a configuration of a second network device. The first FAS may upgrade the configuration of the first network device based on the command from a current configuration to a new configuration. The first FAS agent increment a state identifier associated with the configuration of the first network device to a new state identifier associated with the new configuration. The first FAS agent may then transmit a control packet that includes the new state identifier. A second FAS agent executing on the second network device may receive the control packet and execute the command to update the configuration of the second network device to the new configuration.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for a scalable process for validating multiple paths used for routing network traffic in a network using segment routing. In one aspect, a method includes identifying, by a first network hop, one or more second network hops, for each of the one or more second network hops, determining a corresponding flow label, the corresponding flow label including a corresponding test packet for validating packet forwarding between the first network hop and a corresponding second network hop, and performing a validation process for validating packet forwarding from the first network hop to the corresponding second network hop using at least the corresponding flow label. The method further includes determining a queue of additional network hops to be validated based on a result of the validation process, and iteratively validating packet forwarding for each additional network hop in the queue.
