Abstract: A method is provided performed by a network node for ranking topological decomposition options of a virtual network function, VNF, or combinations of topological decomposition options of VNFs to form a VNF forward graph for a network service in a communication network. The method includes evaluating the topological decomposition comprising a plurality of decomposition options. The evaluation based on a plurality of scores for the plurality of decomposition options where each score corresponds to a defined decomposition option for the VNF or combinations of decomposition options for VNFs for the network service. The method further includes ranking the plurality of decomposition options based on respective scores of the defined decomposition options for the VNF or the combinations of the decomposition options of the VNFs, wherein the ranking identifies a set of decomposition options for VNFs that have the highest scores.

Abstract: The disclosure is directed to systems and methods for provisioning a Management Service (MnS) producer at an Edge Computing Service Provider (ECSP) management system in a wireless network. The ECSP may detect a request to create a managed object instance (MOI), the request received from an Application Service Provider (ASP), including deployment requirements; encode a response to the request, the response indicating that instantiation is in progress; select an Edge Data Network (EDN) and a number of edge application servers (EAS) instances to be instantiated based on the deployment requirements; detect an EAS virtualized network function (VNF) software image received based on the deployment requirements; request instantiation, by a network function virtualization orchestrator (NFVO), of one or more EAS VNF instances of the software image; detect results of the instantiation; and encode a notification based on the instantiation, including an indication of the results being a deployment or a failure.

Resource pool information is collected from control entities and network functions which control resource pools comprising resources allocated to end user services (S103), and feedback on quality is collected from terminating entities terminating the end user services (S105). Based on at least one of the resource pool information and the feedback on quality, it is evaluated whether or not the one or more targets are achievable (S107).

Abstract: A system and method for providing on-demand edge compute. The system may include an orchestrator that provides a UI and controls an abstraction layer for implementing a workflow for providing on-demand edge compute. The abstraction layer may include a network configuration orchestration (NCO) system (e.g., a Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) system) and an API that may provide an interface between the orchestrator and the NCO. The API may enable the orchestrator to communicate with the NCO for receiving requests that enable the NCO to integrate with existing network controllers, orchestrators, and other systems and perform various network provisioning tasks (e.g., to build and provision a communication path between server instances). The various tasks, when executed, may provide end-to-end automated network provisioning services as part of providing on-demand edge compute service to users. The API may further enable the ECS orchestrator to receive information from the NCO, (e.g., network resource information, status messages).

Abstract: A computing system includes processor(s) in a management network that serves an end-user network with agent instances. Server(s), such as a workforce management server or a communication distribution server, receive communications to the end-user network and assign agent instances to service the communications. The processor(s) perform tasks that include (a) receiving first data associated with the processes of the server(s), (b) determining, based on a specification defined by the end-user network, a first operation to be performed by the server(s), where the specification includes a first logical directive including at least one first condition that, if satisfied by the received first data, defines the first operation, (c) providing the first operation to the server(s), (d) determining rules-execution data, (e) analyzing the first data and/or the rules-execution data to identify at least one non-compliant statistical parameter, (f) determining a rules recommendation, and (g) providing the rules recommendation to the end-user network.
