摘要: A beacon device comprising directional transmission means transmits a challenge message in a first predetermined direction to each of one or more responder devices over a respective direct radio communication link, to invite the responder devices to each transmit a respective response message indicating knowledge of contents of the challenge message. The beacon device transmits one or more directed repetitions of the challenge message in one or more respective further predetermined directions such that data relating to the location of each of the responder devices can be inferred from timings of each response message with respect to times the challenge message and the directed repetitions of the challenge message were transmitted. The beacon device either engages in or eschews subsequent two-way communication with each of the one or more responder devices over the respective direct radio communication link, in dependence on the existence and timing of a respective response message.

A user data processing device receives from a remote action validation server an action validation request. The request includes identification of an authentication device comprising a beacon transmitter and identification of a proposed action associated with the authentication device. 摘要: A method for a host device to obtain cellular network connectivity is provided which includes performing a first process at a first time, the first process comprising using non-cellular data connectivity to download a profile data structure, the profile data structure comprising a set of two or more International Mobile Subscriber Identities, IMSIs, and authentication data; and performing a second process at a second time, the second time being after the first time, the second process comprising selecting an IMSI from the set of IMSIs; and attempting to register with a cellular network using the selected IMSI and the authentication data to obtain cellular network connectivity. A method to enable a host device to obtain cellular network connectivity, host device, non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, network element for authenticating a host device to a cellular network, and computing system communicatively coupled to a cellular network according to the method, are also described.

摘要: A user equipment (UE) detects signals transmitted by one or more attacking devices that interfere with downlink signals from base stations. The UE measures the angle of arrival (AoA) and power information of the interfering signals and sends an interference report to a serving base station. The base station may receive interference reports for the interfering signals from multiple UEs. One or more base stations may determine the identity of the attacking device based on the position of the attacking device determined using the information from the interference report and known positions of devices connected to the network. The one or more base stations may bar access to the network by the attacking device once the attacking device is identified and/or may report the attacking device.
