Abstract:
Abstract:
A system for creating an enhanced ponytail, the ponytail bound with a tie to create a root portion adjacent to the scalp and a ponytail extending rearwardly from the tie, using a device having a front, a rear, a roof portion having front and rear arches at the front and rear, and a comb extending downward from the roof portion at and parallel to the front. The ponytail is apportioned into an upper selected portion and a lower remainder portion. The selected portion is inverted adjacent to the tie to extend forwardly across the tie, the comb is inserted downward through the inverted selected portion and into the root portion just forward of the tie, and the inverted selected portion is once again inverted to extend rearwardly over the roof portion, concealing the device and tie, and rejoining with the remainder portion.
Abstract:
A Velcro-type hair-accessories connector includes a hair holding unit (100) combined with a real hair (310); and a hair accessory (200) like an artificial hair, which is combined to the hair holding unit (100) in a Velcro manner. The hair holding unit (100) includes at least one holder (110) fixed to the real hair (310), and a holder combiner (120) combined to the hair accessory (200) in a Velcro manner. The hair accessory (200) includes an artificial hair (210) provided in a lower portion thereof, and an accessory combiner (220) provided at a top of the artificial hair (210) and combined to the hair holding unit (100) in a Velcro manner. Using this connector, a user may fix the hair holding unit to the real hair, so the user may attach or detach the hair accessory to/from the real hair for decoration by himself/herself in an easy way.
Abstract:
A system for attaching natural or artificial hair tresses to extend the apparent length of natural hair using a molded plastic clamping connector (23) and an electrically heated staking tool (24). The connector (23) can be snapped or locked to hold the hair to which the extension will be attached and then a heater (16) within the staking tool (24) can melt a locking member (7) in the connector (23) to provide added strength.
Abstract:
A method of restoring hair, comprising the steps of binding a plurality of hairs (5) for hair restoration at a specified position, forming a ring part of an artificial hair material (2) formed of trunk hairs (2a) having the ring part (3) for inserting original hairs therein formed at one end thereof by double folding one to two pieces of the trunk hairs (2a), forming a bound ball (4) at the position of the trunk hairs (2a) opposite to the ring part (3) in proximity to the binding position of the hairs (5) for hair restoration, inserting the original hairs into the ring part (3) formed at the trunk hairs (2a), and binding the original hairs near the hair-roots thereof.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the securing of hairpieces (401) on the head. In particular, the invention relates to novel hairpieces (401), and method of adhering a hairpiece (401) directly to the skin with an adhesive (e.g., a dermal or contact adhesive). The adhesive may be in direct or indirect contact with the hairpiece (401). In the case where the adhesive is in indirect contact with the hairpiece (401), one side of the adhesive further contains at least a hot-melt layer (404) for securing the adhesive to the hairpiece (401). In yet another embodiment, the adhesive (whether or not the hot-melt (404) is present) may be protected by a removable strip or release liner (206) either during the securing of the adhesive to the hairpiece (401) or prior to the use of the adhesive. In still another embodiment, the adhesive is in the form of at least one adhesive strip (400) which is used to secure the hairpiece (401) to an individual's scalp. Also the present invention relates to an adhesive that can retain its integrity for a long period of time.
