Abstract:
A hair extension for integration with a person's head of hair is described in this disclosure. The hair extension illustratively includes a plurality of supplemental hairs and an attachment band that provides means for removably coupling the plurality of supplemental hairs to natural hairs included in the person's head of hair. The attachment band is illustratively flexible and couples to natural hairs included in the person' s head of hair mechanically.
Abstract:
A hair brush configured to apply a hair fastener to a bundle of hair includes a housing having a handle portion and a brush portion. The hair brush also has an actuator that is coupled to the housing and a hair fastener applicator mechanism that is coupled to the housing and to the actuator such that operation of the actuator causes the hair fastener applicator mechanism to move between an open position in which the hair fastener is held in an elongated state that can receive the bundle of hair and a closed position in which the hair fastener is wrapped and secured around the bundle of hair.
Abstract:
A hairstyling apparatus has a cushioning sheath that defines an enclosed opening and a flexible frame positioned within the cushioning sheath. The frame extends along an inner perimeter of the cushioning sheath such that end portions of the frame are adjacent the ends of the cushioning sheath. First and second sides of the cushioning sheath are capable of being twisted with respect to each other such that first and side portions of the frame cause the enclosed opening to become smaller.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a device that is formed from a flat, polymerized plastic strip (1), one side of which is provided with locking projections (3) made of the same material. Advantageously, the locking projections are designed to penetrate natural hair and be interlockable with similar locking projections (3) of an opposite element. The fastening device is lastingly fixed in the preselected position by planarly interlocking the fastening device with one layer of hair (7). The plastic strip (1) is provided with an adhesive layer (5) on the smooth side thereof in order to attach extraneous elements (6) to the fastening device.
Abstract:
This invention provides a flexible seamless hair clamp. More specifically, the flexible seamless hair clamp has a contiguous body porlion. The contiguous body portion has a first leg mcmbet having a unitary first distal end and opposite thereto a first lever region, and a second leg member having a unitary second distal end and opposite thereto a second lever region. A curved bridging portion is disposed between and formed integrally with the first and second leg members proximate to the first and second lever regions. The bridging portion connects the first and second leg members in a manner such that each is oppositely juxtaposed with respect to each other and arranged to bias the distal ends into proximate contact with one another. Collectively, the first leg member, curved bridging porlion and second leg member define a continuous concave surface within the contiguous body.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A method of using styling tape for body part and hair accessorizing is disclosed. The method may include cutting a self-adhesive tape into a strip (22) or other elongate shape and stretching it to obtain at least some tension. The user may wrap the self-adhesive strip around a bundle of hair or a body part, and may press the self-adhesive strip onto itself to secure the strip or other elongate shape.
Abstract:
A hair wrapping device and method which includes a housing and a motor contained within the housing. A cover is rotatably mounted to the housing and is driven by the motor. A spool for receiving cord is freely rotatable independently of the cover. The cord is held for rotation with the cover. The cover has an aperture to thread a lock of hair and the cord therethrough. Rotation of the cover by the motor causes rotation of the cord around the lock of hair, thereby wrapping the hair with the cord.
Abstract:
A hair clip (10) includes a formation defining an elongated base arm (11) having two knobs (25 and 26), an elongated closure arm (12) defining two apertures (15 and 16), and a hinge region (14) connecting the arms for pivotal movement between open and closed positions. Knob (25) has a stem portion (33) and a free end portion (35) defining an end area with a peripheral acute angle flat-face detent (41). Knob (26) has a stem portion (34) and a free end portion (36) defining an end area with a peripheral acute angle flat-face detent (42). In a preferred embodiment, the hair clip, when closed, defines a passage for hair having several sharp bends, including acute angle 180 DEG bends. In a preferred embodiment, the passage passes between the inner face of the closure arm and the inner face of the base member at a first side of the hair clip, between a first interior side of the aperture and a first side of the stem, between the face of the detent and the outer face of the closure arm at the first side of the hair clip, over the free end portion of the knob, between the face of the detent and the outer face of the closure arm at a second side of the hair clip, between a second interior side of the aperture and a second side of the stem, and between the inner face of the closure arm and the inner face of the base member at the second side of the hair clip.
Abstract:
This invention relates to the headwear art and more particularly to a concealed method of attaching headwear to a person's head. The invention enables the wearer of a yarmulke, beanie, or other cap to secure the headwear to a person's hair without the necessity of using a clip which would show on the outer surface of the decorative or other headwear. The clip includes a covering (1) which is secured to a tensioned clip (2). The top of the covering (14) has a hook fastener (3) secured to it. A pile fastener (11) is secured to the inside of the yarmulke, beanie or other cap. In order to secure the headwear to a person's head, one simply attaches the lower metal clip (2) to a person's hair and secures the hook and pile fasteners together. The clip is readily concealable, lightweight, easy to use, and does not in anyway damage the often expensive outside surfaces of a yarmulke, beanie or other cap. The main problem in the prior art is that clips for attaching headwear to a person's head would show on the outside surface of the often-expensive headwear. This clip solves that problem by using a hook and pile fastener to attach the headwear to a person's head on the underneath side of a yarmulke, beanie or cap. The clip device is thus completely concealed underneath the headwear. This device would be principally used in the headwear industry and may be exploited commercially either as a separate attachment for existing headwear or as an accessory sold along with the headwear in the original purchase.
